There are reports today that Carroll will be out for at least another 5-8 weeks due to his mystery thigh injury. That'll be what? 2- 3 months in total for what was supposed to be a minor injury.
Reminds me of another Newcastle player who struggled with a "minor" thigh problem - Jonathan Woodgate.

The sale of Carroll may be the best bit of business since . . . . . . . . selling Woodgate to Real for £13.5 mill

Would seriously giggle my nuts off if it turns out Carroll's a £35mill crock.

It's only good business if we get to see any of the cash to buy new players

Somehow i suspect a few casinos up and down the country will be rubbing their hands with glee (and making sure 17 on the wheel does not come in!)

Funny thing i just heard Greggs have announced a 150% increase in profits too!

How many corned beef pasties can you get for £35M?

Maybe this is another conspiracy theory to throw into the mix: Newcastle knew the injury was a lot more serious than people think, and decided to cash in before it was too late. It's possible they did this with Woodgate and, many years ago, Supermac.

i'd be very surprised if the toon get to spend half that money in the summer,he'll probably bid for someone 10 mins before window shuts again, knowing that it's too late to sign them just to keep the fans happy. ashley just takes you for mugs and has been very successful at it so far. keep it up mike you're a legend in my neck of the woods haha

Hopefully Ashley will give us some money to spend.

As for bidding for someone 10 mins before the window closes, he was taking the p**s.

Dave Whelan hate's him and Insomonia couldnt wait to get out the Toon.
