chepstow,4 10: probably not the strongest renewal, but i think,PADLEYOUROWNCANOE can go well here.closed last season with a rather disappointing effort, but before that,he was 4th in the fred winter hurdle at cheltenham, and not far away there.so,with a bit of progress, can be involved..
chepstow,4 45: this looks very competitive, with plenty of possibilities, but i think,DANS LE VENT has a major shout on his best novice form of last season.was thrown in at the deep end last time out,in the grand sefton novice hurdle, against the likes of santini and co,and even that form isnt too bad,as he led for a long way there.i think, this mark is manageable for his handicap debut today, and can run very well,at least e w..
chepstow,4 20: well, one last try for today.a good mix of up and coming and seasoned performers here, and my choice falls rather into the second category.its THE YOUNG MASTER,a horse ive always had a soft spot for,and though his last season was rather low on form figures,to be fair,he ran mostly in very tough races, and his mark is on the slide.so,if all is well today, can run a big race..
Hello Youmzain fairly dotted up in France today. He had control of that from a long way out and drifted back out to 13/2 after early money into 4/1. You would need to be thinking he would have landed the 2YO Trophy at Redcar on that showing, so it's a pity I had him at 14/1 for that and they decided to go to France. Sporting Chance was heavily backed but was soon beaten. Delighted with Hello Youmzain and he will be due a hefty rise from the handicapper after that.
Well done with that one. I was tipped it last week when it ran no sort of race at Redcar and then it goes and wins at York when I have not even looked at the card as I was at HQ drawing a blank. Clearly it likes to get its toe in... Ironic that the only one of Frankie’s that I fancied was a non-runner in the last. Clearly they knew about the one in the listed fillies’ sprint as when the betting opened it was 7/2 and ended up 3/1 joint fav despite having won a 5-runner Yarmouth handicap and been second over course and distance on its last two starts. Felt sorry for the runner-up, beaten by her penalty with everything else well behind.
chepstow,5 10 a good quality contest.I think, this might go to CHARBEL,who hasnt done much wrong in his career so far,and is still less exposed than many here.better was expected on his seasonal debut a few weeks ag,but it was by no means a bad run,so heres hoping,he ll strip fitter today.
