Why would a gay couple automatically be involved in higher levels of promiscuity?

Either way, I'm not sure that a 'homosexual lifestyle' exists really.

    Yes I'm serious.

And affection doesn't have to mean kissing and snuggling up. It's more about the parents showing each other that they love and care for each other, which then translates to the child, that they are loved and cared for in a loving family unit

Let's flip this. Which kid is more affected ? The kid who sees their gay parents showing affection for each other or the kid who sees their straight parents fighting, arguing and belittling each other ?

Why do you assume that children being around an affectionate gay couple would have a negative impact?

I'd argue that a child seeing affection is a positive no matter what way you look at it.

Like I say, I believe these things are generational and this topic is just a generation or so behind tackling racism.

Wouldn't surprise 25-30 years ago it was a commonly held opinion that it was unhealthy for children being raised in mixed race families.

That's not a dig at anyone btw, just the way I see it.

The efffects can be wide ranging, no argument, but there will be effects.

Doesn't have to be negative effects

So for example so currently most gay men tend not to be bisexual. This kid could be changing that dynamic.

Sociologists and psychologists have argued that depending on what number you are born cam effect you. So eg younger brothers or youngest of kids have more chance of being gay

If stuff like that has an effect then a changing dynamic in parental relationships will effect you.

We were discussing a certain notion, one of mental health and sexual deviation (not saying either is fact just discussing)

I think you maybe using lifestyle as meaning what it did in the 70s where the argument was different . Think we have moved on from that

I would say same sex relationships last the same length of time as hetrosexual relationships. Meaning relationships follow their course, they either survive or dissolve.

thats what you said..So being adopted by a gay couple...Is the kid just meant to accept it?

@Commachio this was the first post I replied to:

I read that as you saying that it would mean that they wouldn't be happy? If I've read that wrong then fine but don't say I've tried to twist things as you know me ****ing well enough to know that it ain't my style.
