  3. Not at all.

I've followed my team since I can first remember. The very first game I went to see (when I was 8 years old) was at White Hart Lane. I've still got the match programs that my uncle used to buy me, from around 1969 to 1976, when we moved away from N17.

I've seen some of the best players ever to grace English football play for my team and dazzle me. I've also seem some of the worst.

I have supported my team through every disappointment - and the Lord knows that there have been plenty of those - but I have never given up hope that, one day, I will see us become a force, yet again, in Europe.

    Amen.

Point being that you applauded RCL's comments about the game being ruined by big money, yet you want a Sugar Daddy to come in and bail Spurs out.

    I’m genuinely not.

  6. You are, though.

    Admit it.

  7. That isn't what I want.

What I want is for there to be a level playing field. Realistically, that will come about only when every major club is owned by a sugar daddy.

Or if the FA/UEFA had the balls to put a salary cap in place. Problem is though, as mentioned, it would have to be done globally to be effective.
I'd also like to see a system a bit like the NFL, where the lowest ranked teams get first dibs on the best players. Not sure how that could translate to the PL, but the ethos is right.

When you have the amount off money that has been spent by the promoted clubs, seems money is no object.

It's nuts. Where does a club get that sort of revenue from after being in the Championship ? It's not like they would get a huge slice of TV money or the biggest sponsorship deals.

No idea, but a few pundits have mentioned it, are Wolves the best team that have been promoted since the prem? they do look decent like.

They do look pretty good. HIAG's got them down to finish above Arsenal, so we'll see just how good they are.

  17. Making a superbly witty and cutting wum comment isn't the same as making a wager, Pix.

    We've been through this, mate.

I know I rattled you good and proper, but please stop being so desperately needy.

  18. Most Prem sides.

Any side that can maintain an existence in the Prem, among all the hundreds of football clubs in league football, is a major club.

So you think every PL club should have a sugar daddy?

    Yeah, that'll work.
