Can't disagree with the last line I suppose. But if those members of our usual starting XI who played last night need this result to boost their confidence then we truly have settled down in the lower leagues for many years to come. I would like to see the same XI who just 'made history' for Charlton Athletic run out against Barnsley a week on Saturday. They have surely earned that right, have they not? And then we'll see what happens.
Is there anybody that is a TRUST member who is not going to the meeting next Wednesday. I want to attend the meeting but am not prepared to give the buggers the £5 membership. No-one makes a penny out of it. They give their time for free. £5 buys you one pint in a lot of pubs these days.
I feel the same, but there's nothing we can do about it so we might as well look for any positives. The only one I can think of is this break gives some of our injured players valuable extra days to help their recovery process.

I'm off to a restaurant this afternoon with a bunch of ex-work colleagues. The company we worked for ceased trading four years ago but on the factory floor there was always a good spirit, almost like family (it was a very small company). Some of them wanted to get together for old times sake. Many are from India (not drinkers) so a pub was not a good option, but a restaurant seemed a good idea.
Had a wonderful day at Windsor shouting Hurrah!, waving my Union Jack and shedding tears of joy at the wedding of "Princess" Eugenie. Now I'm off to read the 27 pages in my Daily Mail about the wedding, since I could not actually see anything, but don't care. Hurrah!
