Nice to see Sparkless again weaving his magic, this time at Southampton. He’s never been relegated, you know...
Thought that game at Liverpool was a bit of a hangover from both sides having travelled midweek in the champions league.
Looks like the ball landed in the Australian outback town of Bourke. The dogs aren't impressed. please log in to view this image
Eze starts for England U20's, I don't think it's being televised unfortunately. please log in to view this image
He played for 82 minutes and provided the assist for England's first goal setting up Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah. Another Gunner's youngster Joe Willcock made it 2-0 with a penalty. Italy pulled a goal back in the 65th-minute courtesy of Davide Fratessi before Eze looked to turn provider again, this time Tom Pearce forcing a strong save as Eze was replaced with eight minutes remaining. please log in to view this image
QPR U23's take on Ipswich at Loftus Road today at 2pm. ( Live stream on QPR.co.uk ) In the starting line-up are trialist Charlie Rowan, a 20 year old central defender released by Watford and has been at Torino since the summer. Also starting is Lewis Walker, son of former England defender Des Walker. The 20 year forward is looking for a club after being released by Derby County. Meanwhile Darnell Furlong has returned to action in a behind closed doors friendly against West Ham.
Not sure where else to put this, but Adel Taarabt seems to be back at Benfica and not playing after a loan season at Genoa which started brilliantly and faded away, 22 games 2 goals. Sevilla and Fenerbache were rumoured to be interested but no developments. What a ****ing waste.
The kid we got from Fulham last year...Felix a RB/LB is getting rave reviews and may be getting a start soon in the first team apparently
Punishment for Croatia whose fans burnt a swastika into the pitch a while back. Southgate has changed to 4-3-3 to counter the spaces Croatia found against us in the world cup. Shame, as I'd like to see him try to solve it within a 3-5-2. Very tight game with England finding it hard to get the front three into the game. Henderson giving the ball away far too much!
