We have O'Neill/Keane and on paper a dream team,made Euros 2016 and lost a playoff for last WC but the football is atrocious and O'Neill becoming a bit of a dinosaur.The main problem is both countries just don't produce good players anymore or clubs don't give them time,clubs can buy the finished article from Eastern Europe/Africa/Asia,the highest placed Irishman in the EPL is Matt Doherty(Wolves) and O'Neill doesen't fancy him,says he's too attack minded,couldn't tell you who the highest Scot is.The championship is littered with Irish internationals probably Scottish as well,they make a good living but out of their depth in international football.

I agree with you to a point - except that we have some decent players and we're getting easily beaten by teams that are in the same situation (like Israel). Our failure to win these games and qualify for competitions is down the manager and the incompetence of the SFA.
