Bessone and Halliche? Don't say the Swans have slipped up on this one and just forgotten about them. :S
Chelsea have Meireles on their squad and Arsenal have Arteta on theirs. I'm actually worried for us now.
why are you worried? These players are moving from england to wales, they need premier league clearance, if that hasn't been done yet how can they list the players?
Oh yeah, forgot about that. Forget I said anything! :L As for David Rhys George Best Cotterill, he could still go out on loan when the loan window opens next week. Doubt we'll need him this season.
We have a player called "Jandir Evandro Zola"?! Class! With a name like that he better be the next Ronaldinho...
Played against Manu reserves last week. Heard of him for a few seasons, but that was the 1st time I'd personally seen him. Think he's highly thought of, but still young & hopefully will keep developing, time will tell...
Taylor would be considered home grown as he was registered with the FAW when he was with Wrexham. Not sure about the Scots lads though. They don't need to have been with your club, just registered with a club affiliated to the FA or FAW for more than 36 months before their 21st birthday.
Same link, first para Jager. http://www.premierleague.com/page/Headlines/0,,12306~2094341,00.html It's why Chelsea and Arsenal are hoovering up foreign youngsters. Get French, Spanish Ghanaen (whoever) 16 - 18 year olds on your books. By the time they make the first team they are 'home grown'. It seems to exclude the SFA though, they'd be non-home grown. Fabregas is a case in point. Joined Arsenal as a 16 year old, so, home grown. It may work in the favour of smaller clubs (no dig), as they could pick up foreigners who don't make the grade with the 'top' clubs and register them as home grown.
Problem with that though is then you're buying players to fit the system of the league, as opposed to that of your club! They should just ban transfer fees and impose a wage cap, they're the worst thing about the league at the moment, not where someone was born.
