The hit with Mike also brilliantly done, the flash of the gun then the shot on that dark background looked amazing.

I think hiring Jose Mourinho would be an improvement over Capaldi. <laugh>

Smith and Tennant were both excellent... I liked Eccleston too, I know a lot of people didn't but I liked him.

    Capaldi was just awful imo.

It will be a year before it comes out on Amazon Prime so I can see Whittaker to judge her performance for myself.

I liked Eccleston, but he was the wrong choice. Not because of his acting ability but because he was unwilling to commit for a long period. Think this is something they should ask before casting as its a role that takes time to grow into.
So just as Eccleston was getting good he was out.

Capaldi wasn't helped by the writing and stories imo. Alot of the episodes were either dull or were rambling and I think this was Moffat's fault, just look at how rambling and nonsensical the last series of Sherlock was. He seems to be a Producer that gets bored and then tries too hard to reinvent.

Probably... Although I didn't like Capaldi in Torchwood either and that was a much better written show than most of Doctor Who. I think I just don't like Capaldi.

He was also in Canterbury Tales, the soft porn version in the 70's. Could never think of him as Dr Who after that. Scarred me for life

New Paul Greengrass film July 22 on Netflix about the Oslo attacks is excellent

Also rewatched Captain Phillips and Bloody Sunday by him and they’re similarly great
