    Good Morning Everyone

Radrizzani has called for the creation of a 'Premier League 2' to help Championship clubs receive more television revenue.

Leeds earned £7.5m in 2017, with Sky covering 19 LUFC games last term.

If you compare that to the club that finishes bottom of the Premiership, they are guaranteed to receive at least 92.5m more.

Six of Leeds' 12 league games this season have already been moved for TV coverage.

"We lose money and we are creating a show that is high-interest for everybody," said Radrizzani.

The Italian says clubs like Leeds being "watched by 500,000-600,000 people live on Sky" but only getting £2m-£2.5m from the league for having their games televised - the rest made up via the EFL - "actually penalises us".

"We're always on TV, maybe more than 20 times. It doesn't work," he added.

"I think the other chairmen would love to open a conversation," he said.

"The time is getting ready to consider what to do to move forward so we don't have a crisis every two years when a club go bankrupt or changes ownership every other year."

BTW, The Whites' clash against Reading on Tuesday 27th November will also be shown live on Sky Sports.

At a recent conference, Radrizzani claimed that there have been multiple offers to buy the club, but has turned them down.

He also claimed, that in total, he has ploughed 100m into the club since taking over; 20m on the purchase of Elland Road.

Radz only talks sense and yes big clubs like Leeds will be shafted because Sky know there's an audience all around the world for watching us. If half your games are broadcast each season yet some Championship clubs are on only once or twice and only because they play Leeds, you know its wrong. The EFL are useless amateurs who have allowed every club outside the Premiership be raped. The FA were crap and still are as they are powerless without the Premier League, who now control domestic football in England and Wales. There should be an ELITE LIST of clubs in the EFL who demand a premium TV contract. Leeds, Birmingham, Villa, Sunderland, WBA, Forest, Blades, Wendies, Derby, Norwich, Plymouth,

    Morning all..

When he says ploughed in, is that his losses or does it not take into account income? I can’t believe he has lost £100m excluding ground equity. Not that I really care that much, he is doing enough to enable us to challenge so he is okay in my book

There should be a maximum teams are shown on Sky, especially at home, the TV revenue doesn't compensate the matchday losses. Don't think a Premier 2 would make much difference, who want to watch Reading v QPR say.

Haven’t our screened home games been near sell out though? I understand what Rads is saying but if the game is a sell out and live on Sky we should be quids in.

Exactly, as if changing it to Premier 2 would suddenly make people want to watch crap teams like those two, or the likes of Millwall, Hull, Rotherham etc <doh>

Radz says hes happy with getting the Leeds Utd brand out to half a million people and he still gets a full ground and revenues to go with it, what he does say is factual though he thinks we dont get a fair share of the TV pot and gets around £80m less TV cash than last place in the prem

Last seasons TV matches and the top viewing data shows top 6 teams attract between 700,000 and 1.6m viewers for bank holiday top 6 clashes. Leeds are around the the same number of viewers for a Championship match, so not getting paid enough.

Morning all. That 100m includes buying the ground and the club which are worth more than that now so hardly ploughing money into it anymore than Ive ploughed money over the years into my mortgage. Theres been lots of money came the other way through transfers too. Anyway, simple remedy for the imbalance between the pl and where we are is finish top two and the job is sorted. Didnt Cellino put forward similar argument two years ago re SKY revenue but was poo pooed of course. Villa seem to have done good business and likely to figure in the shake up if they can hit the ground running

Good mornng to the sheriff and his posse from a wet dull Bardsey
First of all Sheriff if you read the article again it says he is commited to invest 100m in the club not that he has spent it!
As I forecast a few weeks ago Dean Smith was installed as the Villa managerand I think he will probably bring with him Maupey and Ollie Watkins to the club
Villa will now be a force again
Dale Jennings a lad I admired when he played for Tranmere has joined Runcorn and I wish him well .He had the world at his fee when he signed for Bayern Munich at 18 and when he became available jI wanted Leeds to buy him well thank goodness they ignored me andx he went to Barnsley and was promptly sent off in his first game ho does that remind you off .Yes Mowatt and look whats happened to him,There is such a fine dividing line between success and failure
Another failure Luke Varney has joined Plymouth this week again I wish him well
Finally after driving my left hand drive Focus which I bought new in Mallorca 18 years ago we have bought a Volvo 2,4 litre C70 convertible so watch out if you are on the A58 Moe is a speed freak!

Its galling to think huddersfield get 100million just for propping up the Premier League.

Morning all....Completely agree, renaming the championship won't have any effect on the cash flow within the game as there will always be the massive gap between the haves and have nots.As the saying goes, if we can't beat them, we need to join them.

The only way that works is if 1) The EFL breakaway and form another company and market and selll all their TV as The Premier League do, but look what happened in Scotland which is now basically bankrupt because nobody wants to see Killi or play that out down here nobody will buy Bolton, Barnsley, Wigan, Bristol City etc.

    2) The Premier League extend their license. They bring in the top Championship clubs and even Sunderland which will give you 32 teams and then split that into 2 leagues Prem 1 and Prem 2. This puts us on a par with overseas leagues and gives England a better chance and a couple of matches can be played overseas. I reckon the Premier League will extend their reach and revenues.

We all know at some stage soon their will be a breakaway to a European League which will include Celtic and Rangers, so pre-empt it and make a start now

Does anyone know what the EFL get in total?

Is the issue also that teams like Leeds are subsidising teams no one wants to watch like Millwall?

Is this really about getting more in total or sharing it out differently?

Brentford was 5k short of a sell out, 3pm Saturday, the way we're going and it would have sold out imo , less the poor away support obviously.

    1. The premier league would never allow it as it would dilute their product.
    2. By the very definition of the word, you can’t have two ‘premier’ leagues.
    3. Radz wouldn’t be saying any of this if we were in it.
