So general chat really isn't general chat, You try to start up a conversation about something your interested in and you get shot down by pictures of soap stars! Hmmmm not sure about this general chat business.
My old man plays the mandolin, banjo etc. I can ask him what mic he uses or can advise to get. He lives in Australia though so may not get an email back from him for a few days What kind of music you play?
Originally the idea was that if someone posed a club-specific football thread on GC, it was spammed with images of Gail Platt. Then it extended to Coronation Street characters in general, then soap actors in general, then retro pics of all kinds. Then non-football threads started getting spammed too, which I don't agree with, for the record. This thread should go unspammed IMO.
The opening post was spam: Irish culture spam on the UK's online sports community, we see enough of it.
