Off Topic Breakfast, Dinner, Tea v Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Aye I ate packed lunch until secondary school, when my mum got lazy and used to give me £2.50 to buy lunch from the shops across the road, but this was when I was like 13 onwards.

 

I think my theory puts this to bed..

Lunch

Dinner or can be tea.

You don’t go out for tea. But I when eating at home it can be tea or dinner. If I’m making a proper meal I’m having dinner. Should I have eaten a big lunch then if my evening meal is or could be considered a snack or just something I’ve thrown in the oven then it’s tea.

 

You’ve posted the same picture twice, I still and I will call it Tea.

 

We had school dinner, at lunchtime, served by dinner ladies. It was a bit confusing.

 

I loved school dinners, but it took away time from playing football, so I begged my mum for packed lunch and used to eat it in class.

Dinner = A hot meal

So if you have a hot meal for lunch, that is a dinner.
If you have a hot meal in the evening that is a dinner.

The whole Tea thing is what I have never been able to wrap my head around.
I mean, if some people call it that, then they call it that, but I will never get it, I suppose.
