    • We didnt go in for Beckford - contrasts with what Adkins hinted at before
    • We did bid for Lansbury from Arsenal but Arsenal were not keen - not sure where lansbury would fit in CM, although may have been before Cork
    • Arsenal did a cheeky medical on AOC last year - how are they, isnt this a form of tapping up?
    • AOC bid from Arsenal was initially 3m - **** off arsenal, cheeky buggars
    • 15,000 ST holders this season - not bad, although i expected more
    • Betting company wanted to sponsor Saints but NC wanted local firm - good on NC for promoting local firms
    • 44,000 capacity plans are drawn up and ready if the need is there in the Prem - sounds good, although wont be needed for a while yet
    • Hardly news - Lambert and Lallana highest paid players (not sure NC would talk about this though) - thought fonte would be
    • Brunley offered Jay Rod £8K more a week wages than us to keep him - i doubt this
    • Moving away fans has been discussed - obviously not feasible then
    • Person responsible for season ticket distribution has been sacked - bit harsh on 1 mistake?
    • Adkins was first to be interviewed for managers role - thats good :)
    • Eddie Howe was interviewed 3 times but never offered him the job - bit shocked by this
    • Would like a new website but crappy one has to stay due to costs of getting out of contract - agree, we need a new webiste soon, when does contract run out?
    • If promoted we will get a decent website :-/ - good!
    • Saints offered AOC same wages as Arsenal - doubt it, well depends what arsenal offered
    • Don C loves the new away shirt and wears it to the Gym - now this is a funny thought!
    • Don has never seen a footy game that hasnt involved saints - really?
    • Don C wont take his kids to a saints match due to language etc - doubt theres language in the press box or w.e it is
    • New home and away kits next season (shock) - FFS!
    • Saints were only club in for Cork and Chelsea were good allowing only us to talk to him. - respect 2 chelsea
    • Warnock got fined for his stupid comments about saints - what comments?

I always thought a new home and away kit every season was a condition in the umbro contract

It is, the only reason we kept the first stripey kit made by Umbro for two years is because we couldn't afford it, and Lowe talked them round to just changing the away kit. New home and away kit next year then that's the end of the Umbro contract.

I don't believe this for a second, had he not an interest in the game in Italy before Southampton? Was he not linked with Italian clubs etc?

Thanks for the thread really interesting - how I would love to be able to converse with NC over dinner about the 'goings-on'. Please ignore the opinionated experts who have/will dispute line by line what you have prepared; they have no more insider knowledge than my cat; thanks again for the interesting read.

The club were going to report Arsenal for that, I think. Probably why they didn't want us to have Lansbury.

On the Lambert/Lallana wage thing - another person on Twitter who was there (or might have been same person, without looking I don't know) said Cortese stated that both players are on 25k p/w. I don't find the wages hard to believe, what I do is the fact that Cortese would digress this information to fans, knowing that the info would almost certainly been spread to forums like this.

I saw somewhere else that the Warnock comments he was referring to were about Jack Cork and how we'd done things wrong? What a bitter tw@t Warnock is. Him and Holloway used to be faves of mine but I can't stand them now.

So what your saying is you really believe the tweets... Even though there is no evidence that they are correct?

Interesting thread even if some stuff is dubious eg disclosure of wages.

So what if there is a new kit every year, you don't have to buy it. Saints supporters at Swindow who wore a replica kit had a mixture of home, away, old and new with at least one dating back to Draper days and many still wore last year's shirt which doesn't even look like a Saints kit. As long as we stick with red and white stripes for home and yellow shirts, blue shorts away I don't care.

I would have thought it would be more likely to be like the 2nd video as the Itchen stand cannot be expanding as shown in the first video.

You're telling Me Cortese openly discusses players wages to random strangers at a dinner party. Bollox.

I used to have a bit of respect for Warnock and the way he manages his teams to success, with a bit of the fighter in his make up. But actually he's just a needlessly nasty piece of work.

Warnocks a plum, our Chairman wouldn't discuss players wages at a Q&A session, but I can believe with bonus' and add on's that our top wages are in the region of £25,000 per week............
