Because you had school dinners, right?

    Check the relevant word there.

****ing no one called them school lunches, I refuse to believe you southern ponces called them that.

    Not this **** again
Some people call their Lunch, Lunch and their evening meal, Dinner
Some people call their lunch, dinner, and their evening mean, Tea (baffles me to all ****ery but to each his own i guess).

Everyone needs to deal with it.

Tea is a drink ffs. When accompanied, at about 4.00pm, by at most a jam sandwich and/or cake, it’s a meal of sorts.

If you are sitting down to an evening meal of egg chips and beans, or whatever; that’s supper. Or dinner. Not tea

Thats pretty much how I roll too.
I have called lunch, dinner before.
But never in a million years would I call my evening meal, Tea <laugh>
What do they call dessert? Coffee? Lemonade?

(FYI for dessert, the terms, Dessert, pudding and afters are all acceptable, and I have used them all).

Free school dinners were for the poor kids, everyone else paid,or bought in their pikey sandwiches. Teachers weren't in the habit of letting kids wander off to the shops at 7, unless you went to a proper ****-hole.
