The worse thing is that it doesn't and they haven't actually read the bloody thing, as it's 1,000 pages long and there's one copy.

    Unless it is :

    - one word per page
    - using huge fonts and margins

then that is hardly "filler" content by the FBI.

Ford may herself now be in danger of perjury,
if the claims are true that a former partner of hers
has testified under oath that her answers to the
enquiry questions about her polygraph test
    experiences are not correct.

What people forget (or ignore, depends on what their baseball cap says...) is Kavanaugh also lied under oath with his claim he never drank to excess at college, which two of his college friends promptly refuted stating he got blackout drunk on several occasions.

I suspect there is going to be a lie count by both sides,
ranking each one by potential punitive severity.

And then, depending on how the senate vote goes,
the loser will then seek to use the worst one(s) and
push for perjury proceedings to begin.

The Ford polygraph allegation is interesting, as Senator
Mitchell asked her several times on the topic at the hearing.
Methinks she or other Republican bods may have already
been aware of stuff incoming from Fords' ex-partner.

Now, and apparently not (for the USA at least) until 2025 at the earliest.
Which means the graphs will have been going up for a
good 18 years since the CDO debarcle first broke in 2017.

I think the big picture here is that the US don't do "separation of powers" which isn't good for an alleged democracy*. The supreme judiciary are political appointments, that's surely just plain wrong! Keep the executive, legislature and judiciary separate. OK that also has problems in creating a "ruling class" but I'd take our system over that States any day.

    * which I don't think is possible with the electoral college anyway, when the President often doesn't get the most votes.

They have been infested with the "regressive Left" (who hasn't
    in western hemisphere politics) .

This, together with an effective 50:50 polarisation on significant
political allegiances, does not bode well. More so in a nation
where the electorate has the right to own firearms.

It still looks like Trump is going for a one party system with him doing his Adolf part and his Republican party down on their knees kissing his feet, with McConnell doing his Goebbels act!
Is it time for the people to do a French, oops sorry,American Revolution before it's too late?

According to a wad of professors(?) etc, we have 11 years to sort out climate change before a catastrophe! Maybe to late! I feel sorry for future grandchildren.
I don't know Ms May's thought on this but Trump doesn't believe it 'cos business comes first and the environment comes off low down on his list. Why should he care about HIS grandkids?

US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has announced she will leave the post at the end of the year, and I'm sure her announcement isn't related to anything that the Orange Overlord has pushed through in the past few days and her statement saying she felt it was time to step aside and let somebody else do the job isn't riddled with holes...
