I read that Shearer is banging on about the title being a two-horse race. Why is everybody dismissing Chelsea? They look dangerous to me - of course they're heavily reliant on Hazard but if he stays fit and doesn't get a weed on then what does that matter? Easily 3 contenders for me, and the 2 behind aren't out of it at this stage of the season. It still looks like City's, but saying we're the only serious challengers is daft, imo.
Benzema didn’t go to the WC and Bale didn’t do anything last year - was injured for most of the season.
Hazard has that air about him now that he is unstoppable. Got so much confidence and will get the golden boot if he stays fit. He will keep Chelsea in the race all season
On pure statistical terms it is a 5 horse race with 4 challengers to City. 2 points difference with another 30 matches to go? But in terms of form and football being played, I would say we are currently the main challengers, but not to dismiss the other 3.
At the moment, but form can change a number of times throughout a season. City have demonstrated that they have the consistency, we're still in a process of building and don't yet have that track record.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/oct/08/eden-hazard-chelsea-contract-real-madrid-dream “I am really in the game, I am playing good football at the moment. Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today. It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club. We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day. I don’t have time but we will talk about my future soon. I think so.” “It is also when you have a dream and you want to make it happen,” Hazard said. “It is like I have said a lot of times: if I leave I will be happy; I know if I stay I will be happy. It is not like if I go I am happy and if I stay that I am unhappy.” For all his admiration of Madrid, Hazard hinted that Chelsea might not have to do much to convince him to stay. “I am happy and I don’t need anything,” he said. “It is not trophies. Of course, when you play you want to win but I just want to enjoy things on the pitch, like I am at the moment. Then I am happy.”
