That sounds like a winners mentality to me.

I agree with the OP, I think we have a better squad than last year, better up front and in defence but weaker midfield.

I would expect this team to beat the team of last season.

Football in recent years has suffered from the american attidude of promoting the individual ahead of the team. I feel that we have got rid of a lot of players who were more concerned with thier own careers than doing the best they could for their team. I see the players we have brought in, no disrespect to them, as being far more team players who realize that they are lucky to have an opportunity with Arsenal.

For that reason alone, I think that the team is stronger. I hope and I think that Park, Gervinho and maybe one or two others are going to significantly exceed expectations this year.

    Good point!
fabregas was our main focal point, so take him out of the game/him not performing was basically arsenal out of the game
Same with Henry before he left, it was clear to see we got the ball, passed it to henry, and the season after he left and everyone stepped up we nearly won the league

hopefully now with arteta doin most of what fabregas did, but without such an emphases on him, and with the help of gervinho, walcott, wilshere, benayoun RVP etc etc will be all good!
