Looks like the other lot started it, to me. Sucker punches and using weapons, while dramatically outnumbering two blokes.
Scenes like that put me off MMA and boxing tbh. Too many people go and then try to emulate the fighters by acting like dicks.
The poster has form (from last season) . Not just here, but on JA606 too. His continual whiny girl postings AFAIK resulted in the mods sending him into board exile for a while.
The main thing that put me off UFC is the UFC fanboys. Bloody hell, what a bunch of insecure manchildren they are, because if you ask them why they like UFC so much the first few minutes of their answer is invariably them slagging off wrestling, boxing and other MMA companies before they even come close to suggesting one thing they like about UFC - which means they are to combat sports what rugby bores who drone on about how bad football or the other rugby code are instead of talk about why they're so fond of their own sport. The thing is the insecurity goes right to the top of UFC as Dana White is not only notorious for tweeting random celebrities to ask them who they think will win a fight at the next UFC show, but being so unable to handle the thought of competition that when UFC bought Pride FC a decade ago he immediately helped himself to the contracts of their top fighters and shut the company down instead of keeping Pride FC running as a going concern in case fans preferred the other brand (which is the exact same thing WWF/E boss Vince McMahon did when he bought WCW in the early 2000s) And for all the talk of being above boxing and wrestling, how much of UFC's presentation is blatantly stealing from those? There's the obviously staged confrontations at the weigh-in that boxing's been doing for decades, putting the company's marketing machine behind the gobbiest fighters such as Tito Ortiz or Conor McGregor because their mouthing off gets Youtube views just like The Rock's promos got people talking in WWF/E, and there's certainly been suspicions that he booked obviously lopsided fights so he could ride Ronda Rousey's publicity as far as he could - suspicions compounded by how miserable White looked when having to hand the title to Holly Holm (before promptly scuttling out of shot) after Holm made mincemeat out of Rousey.
Too true, we tend to play better in the second half of the season, a couple of good results against our closest rivals could be the difference between 1st and 6th. The CL has not started good, give the youngsters a run out.
It's no joke, the local Mwami (tribal king) here in the DRC 'forgot' to pay the russian arms dealers for the final consignment when the last serious civil conflict ended because he didn't need any more weapons. 7 years after he went on holiday to Belgium and was found with a bullet through the back of his head. The Russians don't forget, they just wait for an opportune moment. It's quite a smooth way of operating, it reminds others it's a good idea to settle their debts.
Set of fixtures after the international break look dodgy to me...don't know about anyone else. We have been struggling with form and yes we have won 6 out of 8. We won't cut it against any of the next set of opponents if we play with the same demeanour as we have been doing...might get lucky against Palace. Plus we won't get our injured players back...maybe a few and they will be as rusty as Village bike which will be 'why we lost' if we lose. We've done great picking up points but this form won't see us through the thick stuff
Did you used to ride Rusty, the village bike as well? It's a small world. She was a big girl wasn't she?
Two cup finals in a month for the Spanners, and Citeh will be tough. Taking 3 pts again from those fixtures is "zero sum" like for like with 2017-18. The two wins needed against PSV are a far bigger deal for the squad.
Hoping we can start to improve on instead of emulating last season's results. All this mess because we couldn't close out the last 5 minutes against Inter. Cl and League should both be important. Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying we should be winning everything...but we got to be seriously trying to always improve
It depends on what reason the ref gave in his report, in my opinion. If he's gone with DOGSO, then they might get away with it. If it's violent conduct, then he's ****ed.
