Really? The law regarding having to live 7 years after giving money away was brought in because of a Brid bloke avoiding death duties and taxes.
Won't be hearing lack of money as a reason for people going to City or other events as an excuse then.

What you on about? You appear to be rambling.
Being located in Bangkok probably makes it a tad expensive for me to attend City matches.

Didn't say you personally used it as the reason. It is often used by people to excuse poor attendances at events. And it is a fact that Hull is a low wage area though it tops the list for poor life expectancy, illnesses, obesity etc so people don't live as long as in the more prosperous, healthy, Brid.Too much time with ladyboys seems to have dulled your powers of comprehension.

But why would you want longer life expectancy? You would have to live in Brid.....

I don't live in Hull so no need to use this as an excuse to bash it or compare it to Norwich.

When did I mention Hull? You are obsessed with slagging off Hull.
I grew up in the East Riding, not Hull.
You're also thick if you think ladyboys are the only reason for coming to Bangkok.
Have you ever spent time in another country?

Fresh air, nice cliff top walks, pleasant scenery. Things you don't get in Hull. Which is why people move in order to retire in Brid and not Hull.

It is the only reason for going to Bangkok for some.

Why move thousands of miles away when Hull was on your doorstep?

Do you want a copy of my CV? I moved away in 1977, and it was hundreds of miles not thousands.

Returning to the matchday thread, can Adkins put a team out that threatens to score on a regular basis, or is he totally compromised by the players at his disposal?

Personally, some of the football we've played in recent weeks has been dreadful and our ability to threaten is just about zero, that combined with an ability to concede, not a lot going right for Adkins irrespective of the situation he decided to put himself in!

I think the players we have are ok and capable of being mid-table, given optimal circumstances and no injuries. However, given the toxic mix of ****e going on at the club at the moment, it's not going to happen. I don't think Adkins has got a SAF-style "hairdryer" to wring the best of the players, and that's what's needed at the moment.

Edit to add - having said that, I don't think he should go as I don't see us getting anyone any better, sadly. Not until a change in ownership (this year, next year, sometime, never)

You don't get fresh air in Hull? At no point have I actually lived in Hull (Swanland, Beverley and now Cheshire area) so the comparison is mute.

On a personal level I can't stand Brid, it was a horrible place and if I wanted to retire it would probably be right down the list of places to retire too.

My dad and I paddling at Brid. Probably around 1956 as he died of cancer in 1958. I wish I'd had a chance to know him.

What does that say of Hull which is constantly behind it in the education tables? Though to be fair Hull is constantly behind everywhere.<laugh>

Yet loads of people retire there. Unlike Hull.

I've chosen to spend to live in Hull for some time. Unlike people who say how great it is but choose to never live there or move away from it. Strange.

The whole population of Hull choose to live here. Strange.
