The onus will always be on the winner. The government is held to account on their manifesto promises post election whilst mainly the oppositions manifesto is forgotten because as it it is being enacted it has a direct influence on the countries future. And whilst I agree neither campaign crowned themselves in glory, the Brexit campaign committed electoral fraud and it is right that their lies are more closely inspected as they have had the biggest influence on what happens next.
Yep and they'll still be able to come here because it's successive governments not the EU that has chosen not to put any restrictions on EU immigration.
Not following this thread very well are you? We are talking about the 70m Turks waiting to rape all our teenagers as soon as we voted Remain - remember that lie?
I know what ‘can’t unless the UK government carry on letting anyone in’ means. And that’s the reality, the Conservatives wanted immigrants to come in as cheap Labour, they let them in then pretended it was due to the EU when we could have applied the EUs own rules to cut it down - if we’d wanted to.
But you remainiacs want to let anyone in, regardless of their character, who wishes to come here, an open door policy even if the infrastructure can't handle it, its ok , just keep coming
come on now chesh, we need more car washers, there's only four on a one mile stretch of road near my home, just think what the economy would be like without these paid in the hand workers paying tax and national insurance every week and they won't be on any benefits like working tax credits or anything like that, we need more of them, in fact why don't we go back in time further and not use machinery in the workplace and employ more people to work with their hands instead of all the machines doing it, hey presto let more people in #stopindustrialrevolution
So do the government, they are conning you. In the year before the referendum it was roughly 50/50 EU and non-EU sourced immigration. Why hadn’t they cut the non EU part? They had complete control. And why didn’t they implement the EU rules allowing them to send people back if they didn’t get a job?
But you voted for the open door policy, you want to let anyone come to this country without checks on their character and to take jobs to keep wages below the poverty line, it was no coincidence that Bliar implemented the minimum wage then opened the doors to mass immigration, so more wages from skilled workers went down than up
You seem to be avoiding answering my point - the stories have been in power for 8 years, how come they didn’t slash immigration because they could have. The truth is they were totally dishonest, they wanted it to continue and pretended it was the EUs fault.
