Untill the EU finish looking into his handling of the grants anyway.

Yes Willies group are seen as legitimate. Just like the Palestinian one. There is pressure groups for British soldiers and RUC who were killed. Should they be forced to pressure on behalf of dead Republicans? That is basically what you are saying here. Imagine a one sided pressure group <doh>

What has being Jewish got anything to do with it anyway?

Stephen Fry & many other high profile Jews are part of an anti-Israel group whereby they believe the state of Israel to be wrong on many levels.

Israel is a scar on the face of western democracy http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14762475

"Once the Israeli soldiers were viciously attacked by dozens of violent IHH activists, armed with batons, knives and steel pipes, the soldiers had to defend themselves" - yes the Turks who were quite clearly shot several times in the back were obviously trying to kill armed special forces with makeshift melee weapons.

I have no time for any country which mixes it's religion with the organisation of state, whether it be Iran, Israel or the efforts of the American Tea Party. In an age when the world is crying out for secular democracy to be embraced by all countries, Israel and it's fanatically religious state remains above criticism - especially from the likes of the BBC who seem oddly reluctant to report any fact which undermine the Israeli state's PR efforts.

Mick, the BBC are as scared as every other brit about the consequences of criticising a religous/ethnic group, we need to sort out censorship and actually defend freedom of speech the way it was intended (see voltaire) the rest of a democracy falls in place when that is maintained.

The BBC are against Israel

It's no coincidence that its Middle East reporters have included the likes of Jeremy Bowen and Orla Goering

As for the Turkish flotilla, their intentions were made obvious by the Go back to Auschwitz line

The Palestinians have received more aid per person than any other country (including aid from Israel)

Yet Hamas, once Israel withdrew from Gaza (which was the supposed reason for fighting against her), took over and launched rockets anyway

It is clear that the only reason the Palestinians receive support is because they are opposing Jews and that if it was anyone else nothing would be said or done

a few things people may not know

-tzipi livni is not allowed into the uk as under current law would be arrested for war crimes during operation cast lead, david milliband was looking to change the law
-
-one of the primary reasons behind Israeli objections to Palestinian statehood is that lack of statehood keeps Palestinian territories outside the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which prosecutes war crimes.

-Palestinian Authority Justice Minister Ali Kashan had requested that ICC Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo investigate alleged Israeli war crimes in the occupied territories since 2002, up to and including Operation Cast Lead.

-After requesting multiple times that the US “state publicly its position that the ICC has no jurisdiction over Israel regarding the Gaza operation,” Military Advocate General for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Avichai Mandelblit “warned that PA pursuit of Israel through the ICC would be viewed as war by the GOI [Government of Israel].”

-US Consul General for Jerusalem Daniel Rubinstein informed the Palestinian Authority that any effort to upgrade themselves to full statehood at the United Nations will result in a loss of all US aid.

-Rubinstein, who was meeting with Palestinian official Saeb Erekat, told him that the UN bid was “useless” and that the US would use its veto if they approach the Security Council for recognition. An effort to find recognition in the General Assembly, though likely to pass would mean “punitive measures” from the US.

-The Palestinians have promised to approach the Security Council in September and have raised the possibility of trying to move on to the General Assembly if (now apparently when) the US vetoes their bid for statehood. US officials maintain that no Palestinian state can exist until Israel formally approves of it, something which is extremely unlikely under Israel’s current right-far-right coalition.
