I said as far back as when the Allam's took over, that having worked in the Middle East a lot and especially Egypt, I reserve my thoughts on whether the Allam's, in the long run, would be good for the club or not. Unfortunately, it turned out more or less as I feared, even though in the beginning I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. As far as new owners are concerned, they surely cannot be worse than the Allam's, but it does worry me that if it is Saudi money, then we might be heading down a similar path in the long term.

The bottom line being if two parties want to get the deal done, then in principal should be sorted BEFORE DD. Lets see how committed Duffen or whoever are, along with Ehab, to get this over the line. I'd like to believe that now the club has been rinsed and has fallen to the bottom of the league, a watershed moment has arrived and suggests this is finally the time for the Allams to finally bu**er off!
