If you live in this country Duffen scrapped Away Direct totally, then rowed back a bit and the 64 that were on I continually from the start of it still had first dibs on away tickets, Pearson then brought it back. At least Duffen was up front about it, unlike this don't care/won't care regime. It took me seven months and numerous emails, to various underlings, to receive a curt but definitive email saying 'no, we won't be running Away Direct this season." In month two James Mooney told me the ticket office would be phoning me within a few days to arrange things, turns out they were Allam days! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Indeed, Hullensians would pick up a fair percentage of any cost, but given that central government makes up the majority of local government income so too would others. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I said as far back as when the Allam's took over, that having worked in the Middle East a lot and especially Egypt, I reserve my thoughts on whether the Allam's, in the long run, would be good for the club or not. Unfortunately, it turned out more or less as I feared, even though in the beginning I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt. As far as new owners are concerned, they surely cannot be worse than the Allam's, but it does worry me that if it is Saudi money, then we might be heading down a similar path in the long term.
Damian Delaney? Mind you footballers are probably the only people that can afford to buy football clubs nowadays!
Asked where they are at in terms of trying to offload the club, Allam grins like a Cheshire cat as the tiger on his tie bares its teeth. “I would like think there is hope for us to move the club on this year,” This interview with The Guardian was done early September or late August. So we know roughly that talks have been going on for a good few months. That hopefully means that its almost done.
Any half decent prospective buyer would agree Heads of Terms BEFORE they enter DD, and any variance based on what DD uncovers, or not contrary to the agreed Heads of Terms should be straight forward. The bottom line being if two parties want to get the deal done, then in principal should be sorted BEFORE DD. Lets see how committed Duffen or whoever are, along with Ehab, to get this over the line. I'd like to believe that now the club has been rinsed and has fallen to the bottom of the league, a watershed moment has arrived and suggests this is finally the time for the Allams to finally bu**er off!
