Far more importantly, for possibly the first time in their history, it appears EA have discovered these things known as "morals" as they also show "concern"

Didn't occur to them when creating Star Wars: Battlefront II that was literally impossible to win at unless you forked over even more money after buying the thing to try your luck in the hope of getting Darth Vader in one of the many, many lootboxes you needed to buy that both The EU and several US states are investigating due to it encouraging youngsters to gamble - and EA are actively trying to fight against those ongoing investigations

Clearly you are a fan of computer games. Fortunately, when I was younger, I figured that although putting my hard-earned cash into a space invaders machine cured boredom, it reduced the amount of beer tokens available. I then found that the Galaxian machine did the same but quicker. I retired to the bar, and have never gone back.

My first wife had a fling with a hedgehog called Sonic, but fortunately we were divorced. In case you ask, no I didn't name Sonic as the third party, but perhaps I should have done. I can still hear that fekking music now.

RIP Ray Galton, co-writer of Steptoe & Son and Hancock's Half Hour. His writing will live forever.

    1 Man City 8 18 20
    2 Chelsea 8 13 20
    3 Liverpool 8 12 20
    4 Arsenal 8 9 18
    5 Tottenham 8 8 18

All the doom and gloom and we signed no one and we are not playing well and so on. It's true we haven't played a single match very well or at least that's how I remember it, yet here we are only 2 points off the top.

How did we manage that

Looking forward to us picking up our form and playing in our new wonder stadium where the Spurs 19,000 wonder wall will blow the opposition back to where ever they have come from without a point to their name.

It's like a battle where the opposition haven't a clue that just over the hill behind us lurks :bandit: a whole new battalion fresh. pristine and super charged with the energy you can get from a new home. ITV does serve up some tedious dross.
Hasn't giving stupid, talentless people exposure on TV had its day?

I thought The Apprentice was on BBC One?

Says a lot that description is valid for people on both sides of the boardroom table...

Nooooo, there are still millions of talentless people out there. If I could fart the national anthem in tune, I would have a go.

  10. Worth remembering this, 10 years on, to show how far the club has come in a decade.

I'm not Spur, but I would suggest sound financial management and planning by ENIC and in particular Daniel Levy.

And on-pitch, the progressive improvements in squad
members + team managers. That ensured increasing
stability and performance "bottom line" , allowing the loss
of managers and key players to be endured without
    severe consequences.

I'm not sure that, barring an input of £ billions, you can do what Spurs have done without having all your ducks in a row. There's no getting away from ENIC setting the goals and providing the hard nosed business acumen and discipline to keep to a long-term plan, no matter the short term problems.

Mauricio Pochettino has achieved far more than even the most fervent supporter could have expected when he was appointed. He has speeded up matters by about a decade and has changed the culture inside the club

However, there are many, many more contributors. As much as I see him as a bit of an idiot in public, Tim Sherwood (along with Chris Ramsay and others) helped by reinvigorating our Academy. John McDermott has contributed massively and continues to do so on that front. If we didn't have Harry Kane, we'd be nowhere near where we are now. We've got a number of excellent players, but his goals drive the machine. Also, the transfer fees for Bentaleb, Townsend, Mason, Pritchard, etc. paid for Sonny, Dele, Eric Dier, Toby Alderweireld, etc. when the stadium costs would have meant finding cash was extremely difficult.

A lot of the players over the last 15 or so years have contributed hugely. Very few have left against the wishes of the club within that period. Only very few have been negative about us, despite some terrible press coverage and a continuing desire of the media to stress what we're not, rather than celebrate what we are becoming.

Finally, the fans. If the fans aren't with you, then it's extremely difficult to achieve anything. We continue to pay the most expensive of ticket prices, without the success of clubs who regularly win things. We've been accepting of a 'jam tomorrow' scenario and not lost the faith. We've packed out Wembley and all that "this'll show that they aren't a big club" stuff has gone away. I'm sure, from my own experience, that the season and a bit at Wembley will have introduced a whole new generation of young fans to live football and Spurs. Our support at WHL was an ageing one and they are the future.

And to think, at one point in Ramos' campaign of failure some 606 users were saying we should've brought in Phil Brown

A cursory check of Brown's career since then says, no, no we shouldn't have

  16. This 100%
Although it's also worth noting that if MBJ hadn't been treated so poorly we might never have got into this 'on-pitch' position in the first place

Haven't you noticed he only ever plays white players? White players such as Dele Alli, Lucas Moura, Davinson Sanchez, Danny Rose, Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama...
