what game is it shakes..iv'e forgot ..ohh and what time is kick off.is Eire coming.more to the point is he still running around the bogs
Okay, I could have imagined it as I hated the ref that much, but is was before the block, as the ball comes across goalkeeper pushes Phillips just before he falls slightly backwards to shoot then he makes the save.
He touches him but for me he’s trying to get the ball. It’s not really a pen - only if you believe theirs was a pen (which it wasn’t)
I didn’t realise SKY had so much power. Last man to move months around was a Roman Emperor, I thought.
Not the first to accuse Jeremy of bias. Last year Villa had similar concerns. "Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has been fined £4,000 and warned about his future conduct by the Football Association after a tweet suggesting a referee was against the club. The Chinese businessman criticised official Jeremy Simpson after Villa's 1-0 win over Bolton last month and has admitted an FA misconduct charge."
And Posh Chairman had this view in 2015 “I’m p***d off that we had a ref (Jeremy Simpson) who cost us Crewe game because of incorrect decision was given us again, then sent manager off and many yellows today!"
When he was a fourth official (2018) he was instrumental in getting the ref to change the initial Yellow caution for Fabian Delph to a red after the ref had brandished the yellow and started writing the name on the back “Instead, Anthony Taylor appeared to get confused by the Wigan players around him and maybe even influenced by the Wigan bench, who were very vocal in their protests to the fourth official Jeremy Simpson. “Both the referee and the fourth official have to be strong despite the pressure of that situation and on this occasion, both appeared to lack that conviction to stand by the initial decision, which was a yellow card. “The fourth official could have added to the uncertainty in the mind of the referees by giving him additional information after his initial decision was made. Once the referee is going through a cautioning procedure, the fourth official should not give any additional information, but it appeared that protocol was broken on this occasion.” “I wouldn’t have disagreed had a red card come out after that challenge, but the way we got to that decision was not satisfactory."
Matter of opinion, using two hands to push an opponent is a foul and KP was definitely falling back as he hit it, probably not enough to affect his strike (so you’re right, probably not enough for a penalty) and it was a worldy of a save. We haven’t had a penalty for over 50 games so certainly wouldn’t get one for that.
Obviously not a Leeds penalty. You’d need the opposing team to machine gun Alioski on the penalty spot then take Sais’s head off with a machete to have a chance of that. But I think it would have been a bit harsh.
