I thought that we did OK today. We had some decent chances but didn't take them. Hazard and Jorginho were a level above but cannot fault our endeavour today. Hard to criticise playing three at the back as it blocked up the space for Hazard but we did get further forward with a back four, problem is that is when Chelsea had more space. I just hope we come back from the international break and play positively against Bournemouth and Newcastle because we can beat them.
We really need to sort out our formation. With three/five at the back we have no grip in midfield or thrust going forward. Were we just too fearful/respectful of them in our aim to keep the score down?
No it wasn't. On another day we would have scored at least 2. If Ings had scored when it was 0-0 who knows what would have happened. Chelsea were the better team. But they are a superb side playing really well right now. They punished our defensive mistakes. But we had just as many shots on target as they did if not more.
