Watching the Vietnam War documentaries by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick on Netflix. Scary stuff from the soldiers who where there. Excellent series, great soundtrack
Did any of you watch Dark Tourist on Netflix? Quite fascinating if you're into the dark and macabre I thought David Farrier did a good job of dealing with some of the weirdos in a respectful manner to earn their trust.
Just finished watching Bad Words with Jason Bateman. One of those weird dark comedies where you kinda think wtf am I watching. Enjoyable and intriguing nonetheless. 6.8/10
Some episodes were really good. Better than Baywatch. Others like the radiation spot ones are kind of dull. Overall though I think the series as a whole is really good. The first episode is a good taste of the series as a whole.
Watched the latest episode of BCS last night - outstanding. Followed by a new film on Netflix - 'In the Heart of the Sea'. The true story Moby Dick was based on. ****ing superb
Up to s4e14 on FTWD and I've got to say, this season as been a vast improvement on previous seasons and (although not difficult atm) is putting TWD and it's much bigger budget to shame! Spolier alert (don't know how to do them)... I love that they've not got attached to the long standing cast and aren't afraid to kill them off for the sake of the story. Still think Madison will somehow reappear before the season is out though; Glenn style!
Watched Episode 3 of Maniac. Seems to get slowly better. EP 1 was dull with a few laughs but felt like it was just setting the show up. Ep 2 was OK... EP 3 it is finally getting interesting. Also see Man In the High Castle is out now .. will probably watch that tonight.
Amazon seem to have dropped their once a week fetish and mass released Jack Ryan last month and high castle this month. I watched first episode but am saving for 2 weeks time
I think it terrible. Some disagree, tries to be clever/funny mixing serious drama and comedy and fails. Perhaps it's my sense of humour.
So I watched Moonlight, I don't get the fuss. Found it rather boring. And after watching La La Land a little while ago, another extremely overrated film, and Manchester by the Sea, nothing special, I feel that if those were the front three (and the winner) all the other Oscar nominated films that year were robbed or it was just a very poor year. So: Moonlight 6/10 La La Land 6/10 Manchester by the Sea 6.5/10
