Brenner : After watching so much rubbish for the last few years that 95 minutes was an absolute pleasure.
So happy right now, that game could easily have been 5-5. We stuck to it, showed some quality on the break and made me **** my pants at times when defending. I thought Hurst had screwed up with the defensive changes but it worked out. Dozzell showed Nolan how to play the creative role and Sears had a good game despite missing a couple of easy chances. Very happy with the result and will probably watch the replay once I can hook my laptop up to a TV. Love technology, allowed me to watch the game on my phone. Well done lads
Wow we NEEDED a win and despite the victory, Town don’t improve our league position. Millwall and Preston both winning also.
Relief more than anything. I was watching Needham Market getting thrashed as we had an away day, but the happiness from Town fans was evident! Seems like Hurst got changes correct and we scored three goals in one match for the first time this season. Concerned that other teams in our position also got wins, so beating QPR when we return is hopefully on the cards.
I don’t accept that Hurst got anything correct anymore than he has for any other game. The first 25 minutes were the worst of our season, we really rode our luck, Sears missed a couple of sitters, Donacien came off at half time and all the positives in this match were the same positives that didn’t get us wins in others.
