The result is the most important thing, but that was crap. Our injured first teamers can’t return fast enough.
Job done but a poor performance (again). Sissoko MOTM. Rose got up the pitch well but didn’t like his antics when going down in the box. Everyone else was just “meh”.
Actually thought Winks was our standout player today. Played some nice forward balls, and was confident on the ball, with a few nice runs. Took his 2nd half performance from Wednesday into today and looked much better than normal.
Unfortunately his antics may cost us. I think when he went down in the box in the second half it might even have been a penalty, but Rose made the fall look so unconvincing! He also might be a bit slower than he was.
Both Winks and Sissoko played well, as did toby, big dave and Lucas. How much did we pay for Lucas? Whatever it was he's a bargain.
No stadium, playing here there and everywhere, not as stylish as we like, but reverse the Watford result and if we had been given the stonewall penalty versus the mousers, we would be clear at the top.
He definitely had the right mentality today which I liked, wasn’t his usual “pass it back” self but for all his forward play he still didn’t really offer much to Kane and the AMs. Not saying he was bad by any means though but this is why I’m so demanding for a new CM. We need someone to dominate games and create chances/ dictate play, considering that was one of Winksy’s best performances, it still didn’t actually provide much against a poor Cardiff side in my opinion but it was a still a performance I can appreciate, he’s looked much better over the last 135 minutes of football than he has in about 12 months. I thought Sissoko was full of energy and was playing some really neat stuff in the final third. He looked a lot more confident than his usual “****, what do I do” self when he has the ball.
Look, there were some half decent individual performances but we played badly as a team and won. If that was manure, chavski, the goons, citeh or the mousers, the pundits would be saying thats the sign of a good team, playing badly and winning. But because its Spurs, we are one bad result away from a crisis.
