I know your question isn't aimed at me but, I see a potential flaw in your argument: your first line says we'll be debt free, this probably won't be correct, unless the next owners have millions of pounds to throw away whatever they give to the Allams for the purchase of the club will automatically become debt - that's how it usually works. The alternative is someone spending 40/50/60 million and instantly turning it into shares.
Debt free - apart from the £48M investment the Allams want to sell Most room for investment whilst staying within FFP then anyone else in the league - makes no difference. Instant buzz around the club again when they go - hardly a benefit Crowds will grow over night - but by how much...some fans have got used to not going Fan moral up over night - Fan spending up over night - not this season Very cheap squad that can be bettered very easily and no dead wood bleeding us dry - yes...cheap squad, more investment then Very attractive and competitive academy - used to be Good youngsters coming through - necessity to use them at the moment Clean slate for new owners - its not though is it Anything else?
Significant investment to build on a current sack of sh,,,,
Besides that though the rest is pretty much tge case. And, as the Allams have proved you dont really get anything for nothing. Thankfully the club does potentially have a lot going for it, in comparison to most, with better owners in charge, even more so if the Council are prepared to be supportive of sensible development - i cant see why they now wouldnt be.
Significant investment to build on a current sack of sh,,,,
Jesus could you be anymore negative! Let's just hope our next owners have a little more vision and open mindedness about them other wise we really are ****ed! Suppose it just shows the difference in views from different people for the exact same situation! I and others see huge potential, you and others see nothing but doom and negativity
I think you are spot on. New owners need to come in and say/do right things and it's a sure winner: We have recognised need for further players, we are working on this immediately We are reviewing the pricing/membership and will have a new system for next season We are reviewing club badge, decision will be made shortly, but we will be remaining as Hull city AFC We will continue to develop the academy We will be getting fan input by XYZ... Maybe a reduced rate for their first home game
On the day Duffman ( or whoever ) is pictured with a city scarf in the air, this will be forever known as ALLAMS GONE DAY! And be celebrated for years to come.
Fast game, free tickets and fill the ground! Lots of stuff to do outside the ground before and after....start on a huge positive! I do genuinely believe this for any potential owner is the best time to buy us since Adam Pearson sold up
The potential is here and now! Take your Allam blinkers off and look at the bigger picture! They are (fingers crossed) going. I stand by what I said....I think it's a fantastic time to buy Hull City. Unless of course you have a mindset and outlook like yourself
Look...just to close this off. No one is arguing about potential...it is there for all to see. However, the current status of the club is that we are in a really poor place on so many fronts. As you say..new buyers coming in - fingers crossed - what if they dont, where is your potential then? The Allams may stay on...because they can! Negative about the clubs current status - to right. However, its not stopped me going
60 million in debt and a value of 40 million. Now I may be wrong here but does that mean any buyer needs 100 million to start with? then our squad is near worthless, to make any significant moves up the table yet more money would be needed. I think there are more attractive clubs to buy for less than that.
Only time will tell Dennis !! As far as I'm concerned the biggest travesty this year is the price increase on BEERWULF!!! Dreadful !!!
Burns reckons it could be done during the international break. Christ alive, that could be as early as next week. I mean, probably not, but wouldn't it be magnificent?
