Rafa fined £60,000 by the FA for saying Zaha would be in the referees mind after he claimed that referees don't protect him enough prior to Newcastle's game against Palace.

Looking at Fergie's £20,000 fine for saying Alan Wiley wasn't fit to referee at the top level after a Utd defeat back in 2009(far worse than Rafa's words), the fine in today's money would be £45,976.

So just over £13,000 more to pay by Rafa, and like Fergie never got preferential treatment did he, and he was a serial offender.

Spot on, it seems he's bulletproof or the FA were worried about possible racial accusations but yes its absurd that he got no punishment.

 

the funny thing is zaha has picked Nigeria as his international country so he's not even the English player protection so I don't quite get it either.

 

i can cope with him not being punished but you then cannot ,in fairness, punish Benitez for commenting on Zahas comments.
