If we go through to the knockout stage after Milan and Barcelona you can sell me the Eiffel Tower! I'll believe in miracles. Can you do it,Spurs? Can you? Can you?...or is it a return to our reserves tournament, which Poch doesn't want to win? It's called the Europa League!
what’s everyone’s thoughts on potentially dropping into the Europa this season? Take it seriously? Or rather not be in it?
Depends on whether Spurs would win the Cup or not! Difficult to know but on the whole, entering the knock-out stages might not be a bad idea.
Would love to take it seriously but we don't have the depth and I want us to finish high as possible in the league so with all things considered especially the fact that Poch does not care about anything apart from the CL and PL...I hope we don't qualify...lets save the hassle, travelling and knock on affect
Dier has been in poor form for what feels like years though. Wanyama hasn’t been good for quite some time either. CM worries me massively.
"Hello, PSG? It's Daniel, how are things? Good, good. Anyway, I hate to cut to the chase, but how does £30m to Rabiot sound?"
If you win it, it's back to the CL. It would be a higher priority than the domestic cups for me, although, I still think we'll come second in the group.
I agree that if you’re gonna be in it, it’s far better to be in it now than it ever used to be, due to what the prize is. Like @Spurlock says though, it’s whether we’d manage to secure a top 4 finish in the league if we took it seriously, and didn’t end up winning it.
I get the feeling the responses will mainly involve the words "trophy", "cabinet" and "MAGA" Meanwhile, here's Winks being a better defensive midfielder than Wanyama was last night
I think a player should think " I want to win everything!" Not wait for payday. What are they thinking if trophies are there to be won.....and not be bothered. They certainly aren't yesterday's footballers. Paid too much and not bothered. Why do they think the fans are following them nearly everywhere. They would save their money if players told them we only want the PL, which we will never win with our attitude! …..so go for the Europa, the FL and FA Cups and make a name for yourselves as winners, not...…! At least keep trying and make your fans proud.
On that decision he was right. Since he showed a yellow to Kane the injured player doesn't have to leave the pitch. That was changed last year I think.
The choice of official was rather strange, in my opinion. This was the biggest game of the round. Why was an inexperienced ref with a handful of European games selected for it?
Thanks for the info, although it wasn’t publicised very well. The ref was still very poor though. Whatever happened to the cloning Collini programmme?
