Haha we have to agree to disagree, there was a lot more to that fight and George will never admit it but again, money controls boxing..<ok>

Just for the record, Ali never took anyone apart after his release from prison unless it was staged to be that way..<ok>

I’ll take your word for it mate.

If he faked that, he did a very convincing job.

Money has always controlled boxing, Holyfield beat Tyson instead of being DSQ's for continued headbutting because Don King wanted it that way.

Never believe all that you see, watch the Foreman and Frazier fight again and watch the Foreman Ali fight again.. George was 2 different people over the 2 fights, Ali wanted to lay on the ropes and do a finale, he was always going to get that finale and George knew that and was part of it.. <ok>

I'm an ex-boxer mate, lonsdale belt winner and 12 ****ing years in the ring. I sparred around the Terry Lawless stable in the 80's and worked with Dave boy Green on numerous occasions so you could say I have a very good knowledge of the boxing world. So why do you think we were both wrong?

Thats because Holyfield is a born again evangelical Christian, they are big on the whole "forgive those who trespass against us" bollocks.

Before my time but my old man always bangs on about Earnie Shavers whenever talking about great fighters to watch. Said he was the biggest puncher he ever saw, but also had one of the worst chins going so every fight he could knock them out or be knocked out at any moment which made for great entertainment. I've seen a few clips of him on youtube but not much else.

He also apparently was one of the guys Sylvester Stallone sparred with when preparing for the Rocky films. Supposedly Sly was getting a bit annoyed that Earnie was holding back as he had sparred with a few other pros and they had taken it seriously so told him to hit him with his usual force. Got cracked in the ribs and didn't leave his trailer for 3 days so the story goes.

For me, the answer is easy. Firstly you can only really look in his weight division. Heavyweights. Any other comparisons are spurious.

If I think back and ask myself how many heavyweights have I seen throughout my life that I think would have beaten Tyson in his mid 80’s prime.

The answer is very few. Apart from Ali, who I’m sure in his prime would have beaten Tyson, there’s only a couple of maybes.

That, for me, answers the question. Tyson is one of the top heavyweights I’ve ever seen.
