    What’s changed?

Poch to United. Pardew to Spurs. The Brenda stuff you’re speaking of is just a smokescreen for Big Al. Get on it!!!

The version of reality where if you type “Poch rejects Real Madrid” into google, you’ll likely find a number of articles explaining it.

Jose and Pochettinohave both signed new long term deals in June...to sack Maureen and get Pochettino will be hugely expensive imho.

Also can not imagine United being patient for him to get it right...he will get 2 years tops imho...and United need serious surgery so massive change is unlikely to be very quick.

But If Pochettino goes he goes...and I for one will wish him all the best

    just like I did with AVB....the useless **** <grr>

All very true ... but when has money ever been an obstacle to Manchester United? ... how much for Pogba? ... Di Maria? ... Memphis? ... how much was van Ghoul's settlement?

Pochettino would only succeed at Man Utd if they gave him a free hand and completely backed him to build a team in his own image.

He proved when he went to Spurs, and also to an extent at Southampton, that reputations count for nothing, and he has no time for Big Name Charlies. Anyone not willing to buy into his philosophy and commit to 90 minutes hard graft every time they took the field, would be out.

Would Utd be willing to back a project like that? I have no ****ing idea. If I was their chairman, I'd be on the phone to him right now; if he'd take my call.

Edit: despite some residual bitterness at the way he left Saints, I hope he stays at Spurs. They are still underdogs in the PL, just about, and he has a bit of the underdog spirit about him.

Sounds like SAF tbf. Never really went for the big names as utd currently are (Veron?)

I have to say though I do worry about a plan B for poch. He doesn't seem to have one. Which tbf saf struggled with in Europe but addressed by bringing in certain assistants. With a bit of success

The thing that makes me wince current is the whole "we want zidane". He is one of my favourite players from days gone by but he isn't what utd need, imo. They need stability for a year or so and I would even have Rafa over him

But like anything he, zidane, could come in and be all that and more. But I don't see why giggs didn't get it if thats the route we go down

That other Argentinian manager named Mauricio with a long surname beginning with P and ending in O would be perfect for Utd IMO...

Because Zidane won 3 CLs on the trot whereas Giggs won 2 out of 4 games as Man united boss?

Agreed Zidane isn't the right person for you. He's a gamble as he's never had to rebuild a side

Which, considering the teams each manager were given, and the league each team was in, is probably an equal achievement <laugh>

Let's be fair though I could have done well with zidanes team

We need stability for a year or so
