We have a good day, is cloudy and quite warm. One more hour and I will go looking for a beer befor e the football tonight.

 

Afternoon all. Been a busy day today, had 60 parcels to do and got some major stick from some people about timings. Well if they dont like them, the wont have their parcels in future!!

 

I see your learning about customer relations Dan chin up pal ! keep going! I used to be a motorbike courier and once had a package stolen at a service station I was so tired I didnt realise until I had got to delivery destination over 70 miles away!

 

Back from my shopping trip with a load more work in the back of the car.

On route to Limoges we passed a really dreadful accident where a car had driven underneath the back of a lorry. Quite how the car driver had done it was difficult to explain as the lorry was in the crawler lane and the car shouldn't have been. As usual the services were out in force, with the signs telling us to drive with care, but non of the scene of crime stuff that closes roads so often in England. Unfortunately I think that the car driver will have been very lucky if he survives.

On a more cheerful note, included in my lunch today were small new potatoes, that tasted exactly like they do when you grow them yourself. Why is it that too often new potatoes taste no different from old potatoes, they are just smaller?

 

Blimey, thats not a job i could do. I dislike this one and its not even mine!! There are some idiots around who complain about the service, but dont realise they are not paying extra for next day delivery!!!

I had The worst customer before at my last job, her daughter phoned up and asked if she could possibly pay for the items before the mother came in. I did not know what to do so i said if they set the cash aside at the shop they can use that, but i did not know if more would be needed. Then when the Mother came in and there was confusion because the cash could not be found, so the mother ran her mouth off and then came back a week later to do the same.

 

I would put money on the car driver being distracted!!!

I am working on the quiz questions. I thought I would write them now as if Ísland win tonight I will be in a bad state and unable to write.

But at that time he was doing other things and has been trying to iron out the Database errors. I have faith and think he will do it. Mick dont fail me now!!

 

We shall see Dan, to be fair he did message me a couple of weeks back and said he needed to modify the lettering! I gave the ok and to do what it takes!

All of these are things I ought to know, and once upon a time probably did, but since these days I'm happy to remember my name I'll have to pass on all of them. Now ask me the pluperfect tense of the Latin verb 'amo', something I learnt more than 50 years ago, and I could still tell you.
