So 13% makes you the owners in your world. Are you OLM's love child?

Some people do indeed think other people who are correct and point out their stupidity are boring.

If you own 13% of something, are you (a) an owner of that thing, or (b) not an owner of that thing?

Save your insults for someone that’s interested.

No. You are a shareholder or stakeholder. You have to own 51% or more to be the owner. Who do you think calls the shots, someone with 87% or those with 13%?
Ask anyone who owns Man City and 99% will say Mansour. Idiots will say the owners are Chinese.
I apologise for previously overestimating your intelligence.

Ah. I see this is important to you to continue to say the same thing, which is obviously wrong, in order to insult another poster. I thought this was a meaningful discussion. But I’ve misjudged the situation. I’ll butt out.

Google owner of Man City. Come back and link us to any which say the owners are Chinese.
Only two people are continuing to say thecsame thing which is obviously wrong. One never admits he is wrong but I expected better of you.

Not sure you'll get an answer to that one haha, if it was my company they'd be classed as minority shareholders as I previously said

Who is the owner if 6 people own 16.66% equally between them?

One’s a Saudi, one Chinese, one American, two are Indian, but unconnected & the last is Nicaraguan. If it’s relevant.

If you read what I wrote I said for arguments sake, not a fact or anything just a figure as an example. Let’s say 10million for arguments sake I bet that is many years rent from the fair.

    Okay...

The City Football Group (CFG) is a holding company that administers association football clubs under the ownership of Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG). It is part-owned by Chinese firms China Media Capital and CITIC Capital.

Or how about the Man City website...

    Club ownership

Manchester City Football Club is wholly owned by City Football Group Limited (CFG). The club has been informed that the following parties have Significant Interests (as defined in the Premier League Handbook) in the issued share capital of CFG:

    • Abu Dhabi United Group Investment & Development Limited – 86.21%. The ultimate controller of the voting rights is Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
    • CMC Football Holdings Limited – 13.79%. The ultimate controller of the voting rights is CMC Holdings Limited.

The lack of financial knowledge or understanding by a few in here is painful.

To be the owners of an asset you need to have a controlling stake in that asset or entity. The Chinese group don't have a controlling stake they have a minority stake, giving them the right to a portion of the outflows from Man City. Not so different to any of the potentially thousands of shareholders in Manchester United.

Of course they are, when I bought 10% of the company I worked for, I became one of the owners.

When I increased my shareholding to 25%, I was still just one of the owners.

When I increased my shareholding to 100%, I became the only owner.

What a ****ing ridiculous petty load of bollocks.

Think you need to go back to Business School.

And by the way if you thought it was so petty you didn't need to re-join the conversation, but you couldn't resist trying to point score and use Wikipedia despite it not even supporting your argument..

So the Chinese could decide to sell Man City?

The owner is the one who can outvote all others. Being a shareholder doesn't make you an owner. I used to have shares in City prior to the arrival of AP but didn't tell everyone I was an owner of Hull City.
