Is the a recall on S Said what a pleasure it was to manage in such a good tactical game. Said there was a gulf in class. Al sub keepers are injured. Irvine Achilles is knackered, Batty hasn’t trained. Oh and Leeds are the best Championship side he’s ever seen for a couple of years.
Best champ side he's seen for a couple of years? That had to be some sort of sarcastic comment! A pleasure to manage in such a tactical game.....is he seriously being serious! The man is becoming a bigger joke week by week! We are by no means the best team in this league but we are better then Adkins is getting out of us!
Hard to be positive after that. We got beat by the better side if we are being honest. We lost the Midfield battle. The fact they didn't score more is the surprising thing. Not sure anyone played well, no leaders, noone brave enough to get their foot on the ball and say I'm going to take charge. How I wish we had Huddlestone today just to hold the ball for a bit. Also Meyler would have been great as I guarantee with him in the team their midfield wouldn't have had forever to ping cross field balls behind the full backs every two minutes.
Huddlestone, Livermore, Meyler, Larsson, Clucas, Quinn. We've got rid of so many good midfielders who would walk into our 11 now. You can't expect anything from a team for whom Henriksen is literally undroppable due to lack of alternatives and who keep having to play Kevin Stewart alongside him.
It was crap. They played some nice stuff. We huffed and we puffed and we didn't blow their house down. As others have said our midfield just isn't good enough.
Allam is waiting for the final payment clubs receive dropping out of the premiership, then he'll be off Rich. We've had 15 years of poor management taking the p*ss, Allam is right up there too as he already spoke about League One next season apparently. Feel sorry for my Hull City mates as they are in a black hole just as we once were !
Nige's having a laugh right? Best Championship side he's seen, he needs to go to Specsavers. Gulf in class? no, they wanted it more, they had a midfield, we didn't, particularly after Irvine went off, they cut straight through us often enough, he must have seen that. Second half was particularly poor, Stewart best midfield sub option, where is Toral & Milinkovic? I thought we were lucky to have nil at half time, if not for their ****e finishing, they could have been a few up. To add insult to injury, didn't get home 'til 10.45, stuck trundling behind the Police escorted Leeds victory parade up to Melton, still they were generous with their waving gestures at us, at least I think that's what it was. Edit - I didn't leave early, and don't think I missed much, but on SSN their championship ticker shows the score 1-1, so perhaps not that bad after all?
“We are where we are,” said Adkins. “Am I happy with it? No. But we are where we are. We’re working really hard to try and keep improving. We’ve just played against two really good sides and now we’re going to play against another in Sheffield United.” I am imagining Nige walking out and bursting into we are where we are to the tune of I Am What I Am. Glad to hear we are working hard and trying to improve rather than being lazy and trying to be worse though. Nige thinks we are not on a level playing field with Leeds. That is true. We have had PL money recently and are getting parachute payments so our income has been higher. We will be on a level playing field when they stop. Then heaven help us.
'Slight' flaw with that argument about the ****'s intentions. Leaving us as a paper thin shell of club in Div 3 (or even 2) doesn't equate to being our best ever owners, even in their thick deluded minds. That isn't their intention and never has been. They are simply incompetent in terms of running a football club, incredibly arrogant, stubborn and vindictive All of that is leading to the club falling apart .... but nobody tells them how to run their business.
On a related topic, I thought it was against ground regs to be an away fan in the home end, and you’d be thrown out if you were. I also thought it was dangerous to crowd too many people in seats so they were overcrowded? If those things are the case then why, when they scored, were half a dozen Leeds fans, who were spotted celebrating, simply helped by the stewards to go over to the away end and shoved into an already full row of people? Why weren’t they thrown out?
Because our stewards are frightened to enforce regulations. They prefer to kick out young kids for standing up on the back row and others committing similar heinous acts.
