I agree, that's the lowest of lows. The Echo journalism has really hit rockbottom - rag paper has you rightfully say.
Get well soon Dan! Regarding safety, these type of events can happen anywhere doesn't matter where you are.
I think I am right in saying that the echo's editor Ian Murray is a P***ey season ticket holder, one of only 18!!!!
With all due respect this is not the time or the place for banter or sniping - please keep it off this thread. Wishing a full and speedy recovery for the lad
Norwich fan in peace - just seen this in the BBC website, thoughts go to him and his family, and his many fans at Southampton FC
I hope that the animals that did this get what they deserve, get well soon Dan, we need you back on the pitch mate.
No disrespect intended I was replying to the poor Echo reporting post 161 other post came in including your whilst I was typing so it looked like it was a dig.
Liverpool fan here. I saw this on the BBC sport website and I would like to wish Dan a speedy recovery. My thoughts go out to his friends and family.
I see we have traveled in similar circles.......I was going to post something similar at the end. I too remember staying at a hotel with certain England players including Shearer. Around 2 in the morning some players were still up drinking some of the others were playing silly buggers in one of the corridors. One even was able to put his hand through a plate glass window of sorts. Footballers are human beings they play hard on the field and most play hard when they are allowed to and sometimes when they are not allowed to..... It's just the nature of the times......don't begrudge them that for heaven's sake.......
Just got in from work, and shocked at the news. My thoughts go out to his friends and family and I hope Dan recovers quickly and is back on the pitch.
Hope he makes a quick and successful recovery - so sorry to hear it. Amazing to think he only had a good game against us last weekend - flippin eck !!
