I'm 54 but the idea of mortality hit me when I was around 7 years old... it's a funny old life.

you feel the chills when you get to a certain age, I'm trying to hide from MR, he seems angry. I had a CND badge but had no idea what it meant, a slave to fashion I was

Im 56 and i think we have more patience rather than lost the will to fight, i am personally pleased we have had a few seasons in the premiership without the termoil of relegation and then followed by the excitemet of promotion. We need stability and atm i think we have got that. The likes of watching K.Kyle and Chris Brown are gone and people forget we have a few internationals in the squad.
We also have a good youth team atm and have players with quality making it to the top we have not seen that since S.Elliott.
I am happy so fr its a big season for Bruce if we fail Top 10 this year through lack of goals. Bendtner is a good addition and a far better prospect than Crouch in my opinion, at least we have an option to buy him

    Nooooooo anger mate.
    Total frustration at times. :p

CND pissed me off then, as the treehuggers do now!
Chaining themselves to things, the majority unemployed and on benifits. (Or they have very understanding employers giving them months off at a time. :p)

    **** you're right I was angry! hahahaha

Sounds a bit like the Santa Claus theory in reverse.

Starts out as a total myth, but by the time he is old enough to think for himself his belief will be unquestioned.

At least that's what happened to me.

    OMFG!
People like them, scare me more than warmongers, rocks that are alive?
What about all the poor grass they are trampling and sitting on and crushing?
Does grass not have the same rights as trees and rocks?

Lets protect the grass down with mowers! :p

Mortality thingy..... Has just been the last few yeras for me, when I realise that I probably won't be here to see my young grand daughters as adults ...
    ;(

But back to our beloved red and whites, stability has to be the name of the game. As long as we are improving year on year we might be around to see Chelski and Man Citeh going bust!
    :)

Talking about red and white, I expect you've all read the article on safc about the history of the strip???????
    ;)

Closest I came with a hippy chick was in the 70s, after partaking of some odd tasting mushrooms.
Even then the smell emanating from her, stopped me in my tracks.
I nearly threw up on her. hahaha

27 and happy with Bruce as manager.

Cant see who we can realisticly get who would be better than Bruce. Sure the top 4/champ league managers would be better, and have top man management, tactics and everything else you could want but anyone else is always lacking somewhere.

    Is bruce perfect? no

Can we get someone who is? no

I dont see last seasons nervous moments as Bruce's fault, i put that down as injuries.

ManU are amazing me again, they are reducing there over all debt, year after year.
I thought they would never clear it unless a Sheik bought them.
But then their turnover is huge.

As for Chelski and Citeh, I would have the same worries if I was one of their supporters, even the richest backer gets sick of putting money into a black hole eventually.

It's NOT an age thing Syd, only how long you've been addicted to that thing which has such a hold over us (cue additional comments of the things that are also special) and just how much suffering we've individually endured. There was a thread, on the old 606 I think, about our past managers - there are names on that list that brought posters either to their knees/broke down and cried/simply went gaga/rang their psychotherapist - and the PAIN we've had.

SB might not be the best but by God, more than 1 consecutive season in the PL, and it's a rising trend on our position <swoonsmiley> makes me just .... happy.

We have had some cack mind.
In my time I can truly think of two past managers that I have any long standing affection for.
Bob, who I can only just remember and Reidy for those first years at the SOL.
