    So todays stories:

Valencia were humiliated under neville. Now they are in CL against the biggest team in the world... according to bbc.

    some utd players don't care.

something about the us open winner calling it bittersweet..

    serena williams sings a song...

woman loses eye in ryder cup horror

some F1 story from weekend thats been on main page for 2 days that i've not clicked on cos i watch it live

some Olympic athlete can't use stairs any more

And hoffenhiem have interesting training methods

But no word on man city playing in CL today.

    course not.

A story on how bad neville is as a manager while bigging up utds next opponent is obviously unbiased as it makes fun of sky's lead pundit... and bigs up the utd game.

The man city game is in a tiny box at bottom of screen and the hoffenheim training methods gets a bigger billing.... tbh given how few fans city have that makes perfect sense.

I have noticed that when out of town weekend fans are taken out of the equation (on CL nights) they struggle to get a crowd... not great is it?

Just found this on the Spurs v Barca thread, Spurs fans live in a completely different world, a very delusional one!

"Many Spurs fans wont be aware that both the Ajax (total football) and the current Barca style evolved at Tottenham but Barcelona certainly will be very much aware. It will be like going back to their roots tonight, whether it will inspire them or make them a little nervous has yet to be seen.
    COYS!!!"

Thing with Spurs is they haven't even come close to winning anything. Even the season Leicester won and Tottenham were in a 2 horse race with them, they still ended up 3rd. They were stuck in Europa league for years and never came close and the same again for the Champions league. Last season they had the semi final and final of the FA cup at home and they still failed

They need to win against Barcelona or get a draw to stand a chance of getting into the knock out stage.

Apparently a Scottish Spurs player from 1912 is responsible for Barca's success.

"Nor the Scottish contribution, without Peter 'the Great' McWilliam, born in Inverness, there may not of been Arthur Rowe at Spurs, no push and run, no Bill Nick, no Vic Buckingham, no double, no Ajax total football and Barca might just be a mid table side.

Not so sure about modern though, Peter the Great joined Spurs in 1912. Perhaps it could be said that the media rarely gives credit to Spurs contribution to football, period."

This feller obviously believes what he posts.<laugh>
