Oh yeah, if anyone's doing the Tory Conference Drinking Game, here's the scores for Grayling's speech

    * Hilarity due to his own incompetence by arriving seven minutes late
    * "Look at me, I supported Britait!" (waits for cheers)
    * "Evolution not Revolution" soundbite lifted directly from Alan Partridge
    * Delivers batshit metaphor for Britait
    * ...a metaphor that falls apart if you think about it for five seconds
    * Blamed Labour for eight years of Tory underfunding rail infrastructure
    * Almost completely ignored any environmental message (21 mentions of roads, 8 of cars, 1 of cycling, 0 of walking)
    * All road improvements he mentioned happen to be in or near Tory safe seats

    Final rating: :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

Personally, I think this week should be highly entertaining.

First, we’ve had Dominic Raab ( I didn’t think they could find anybody denser than Davis, but they’ve come close.) who insisted that pragmatism not dogmatism was needed, whilst proceeding to spew out the Tory...er..dogma! on what they’ll accept and what they won’t.

Next up Nihilist Johnson ( I’ll advocate anything if it’ll get me the premiership I so desperately crave) vs Hapless ( I’ll cling on like a barnacle no matter what they sling at me ) May.

Plus many more comedic highlights ( may even include the idea of putting Nige in charge of negotiations) - this little gem brought to you by Mr Peter Bonehead MP.

That's why they need Sunday off, for travelling. People prepared to travel when they have "unusual" tastes.

More a strike against random civilians being able to get their hands on explosives, I'd have thought.
Why were they using tannerite, FFS? <doh>

I can't be alone in wondering what Tory Boy's definition of "poor" is compared to, say, mine...

The age old definition of absolute poverty.
I'm surprised the guy interviewing didn't give him a hard time over the fact that his faaaather emigrated to enrich his family but they'll be buggered if they let anyone do that in our country. Never seen the definition of hypocrisy explained so simply.

There are a number of fabulous satirists on US TV. The great Jon Stewart was the first of the modern lot, and many on TV today started working on his show. My current favourite is one of our own (he's one of our own) John Oliver

Be thankful you didn't take a drink every time Boris Johnson mentioned Jeremy Corbyn in his conference speech, you'd have had your stomach pumped by the time he was saying there was nothing wrong with police assuming that all black people are criminals that need to be stopped & searched...
