It's practically dead on the board today. I don't know what is going on. Downing says we are aiming to win the title...get the ball rolling a bit.
F*** off you c***. There, much better! So why is Jones, Cleverly, Smalling, Wellbeck all being so highly touted by England, yet Henderson who is having just as good a start to life with Liverpool is getting no looks at all? Scored another peach of a goal yesterday as well...... ( THIS should get it rolling too)
Just rolling the dice seeing who will bite, lol. Well in the beginning he looked like Kuyt, not much else other than hard work, but he really looked confident in the Bolton game and looked good in the u-21 side yesterday so hopefully he is starting to feel less pressure and continue his growth as a player. Not going to lie, I was one who was thinking " Henderson? for what?" He is getting better and is going to get better and will provide loads of energy, bit more pace, and can learn from the likes of Gerrard, Kenny, and the rest on how to continually elevate his game. Now Carroll, there is another story, I am getting more and more sceptical by the game, not sure what is going on with him.
The thing about Jordan Henderson is, that he due to his price tag being so high was expected to provide 5 assists and score a hat-trick. This was mostly down to the media. However he is not known as Jordan Henderson, he is known as ''£20 million Jordan Henderson''. When the reality is he didn't cost anywhere near £20 million. Damien Comolli confirmed this. Jordan Henderson has had a quiet start to his Liverpool career, he hasn't done anything spectacular nor has he done anything wrong. He did score last week and it was his best performance in a Liverpool shirt thus far. He can't rest on his laurels, and this is the standard he must not only match but also improve on.
I think the problem with Henderson is he was moved about Midfield by Bruce with the Sunderland Staff trying to work out his best position. SAF did look at him when it was thought the lad could be a CM. However it is clear Henderson prefers to play out wide on the right. Utd have better options than him in that respect.
Like who? Who do United have when the prem comes back by the way? Stoke away for us is always difficult and while I don't think Crouch and Jerome help THAT much, Britannia will be rocking with anticipation, should be a cracking game.
Utd are on 10th Sept away to Bolton. Tricky enough I suppose with vidic out and Davies playing but Im hopeful Jones can cope with him. Looking forward to Young, Nani, Rooney and company tearing holes in Bolton on the break. Stoke will be difficult for Liverpool. Interesting introduction to English football for young Coates if fit and Dalglish willing to risk him.
Watch out for Ngog! Bolton will want to bounce back, but you should probably have too much for them. I don't think Coates will play but think he will be on the bench at most, still have Skrtel on the bench and Johnson and Kelly should be back. We will see. This could be a big game for Bellamy I believe and might make a cheeky fantasy prem move for him. I would say this is the game carroll thrives on, but lately he is getting bossed around or not even making the starting 11 so he needs to sort out his game.
If I was Dalglish, I wouldnt play Coates but leave him on the bench. It would be cruel to subject him to Jones, Crouch, Woodgate and Huth at set pieces on his debut.
Don't know about that, they will be rough but I think he would sling crouch around, Huth and Woodgate would be a bit tougher but Coates is 6'6 and no string bean either. Still don't think Stoke away should be his debut but I could see the reasoning if he played. I rated him before the Copa and then with the performances he put in, thought he would be a perfect buy for us so glad we got him and for a very good price.
I don't think Stokes attack will pose much of a threat to Carragher and Agger as they both like a scrap. They relish going up against physical players. Whether Woodgate and Shawcross can handle Suarez and Kuyt is another story. I reckon Kenny will go with the same attack as he did against Bolton with Andy Carroll coming off the bench after Suarez and Kuyt run Stokes defence ragged.
I have a funny feeling Bellamy might even get a run in this game, maybe not straight away but subbing in with carroll in the little and big type of combination up front.
