Does anybody know of a reliable place to get a screen replaced? Everybody always seems to say they know of a good place then follow up with the phone didn't always work properly afterwards - so it's not a good place then
Do it yourself. Loads of how to videos on youtube. Screens for most phones cost £15-£30 and some come with instructions. I have done mine successfully and I'm as good as blind viewing tiny things close up. (awaits the obvious comment)
I’ve used a bloke on Boothferry estate for a couple of iPad repairs for work, he’s spot on and does phone repairs too I’ve got his number at work, let me know if you still need it.
iMend - come to you (office/home) to do it. Not cheap but turned up when they said they would, were quick and tidy and phone worked with no problems since.
I just rang him to ask and he's not happy, as when his phern went off, his screen exploded again Marv.
That's not good. I've replaced quite a few iPhone 4 5 and 6's now for friends and family with only the tools provided with the replacement screen and not one has gone wrong. Dunno about the newer iphones, for all I know they could be a lot more awkward.
I don't get it personally. You can always tell an iPhone by the broken screen. Loads of people in the office have broken screens. Other phone manufacturers seem to have the ability to make resilient screens, so it can't be that hard.
Last year a workpal showed me a Samsung that he reckoned had an unbreakable screen..In this day and age as you say it cant be that hard.
