Whatever happens I want to see Gunn Targett Bednarek Maya Oriel Armstrong Gallagher Gabbi starting. This is an opportunity for all of them to get some valuable experience in losing woefully
Fully expect Gunn to play but if Gallagher/Targett don't at least get on the pitch I don't know what the **** we're thinking.
I can only assume we thought Gallagher would be 4th choice, then Ings became available late in the day so we kept hold of Gallagher. Makes absoloutely zero sense otherwise. Makes zero sense anyway as the Champ loan window was open for about 3 weeks after we signed Ings. Personally I would've loaned Gallagher out Ings or no Ings, don't buy into this "lets see what we've got" if he was behind 3 other senior strikers, at his age playing is the most important thing.
sometimes things get worse before they get better but I think saints will win this but then contunue to struggle in the league so they will get better then worse then better which is different
Yeah I have never been Austin's biggest fan. If he isn't scoring he offers nothing and I have always disliked strikers like that. That has now been multiplied by a million as his knees are shot. He would've been first striker out the door for me in the summer to make way for a new player.
i think we need to accept that we are not going to win the Premiership this time around and the Carbao Cup is our best chance of glory this season. So I'd field a team that can beat Everton away tomorrow. And the only thing that will beat Everton is a team of car thieves, casual vandals and petty crooks generally speaking.
Nah, I'd watch Saints. Wouldn't expect to enjoy it though. It would be like rubbernecking a crash on the motorway.
Call me crazy, but i've got a funny feeling that we might nick this, maybe on pens. Only Liverpool have outplayed us this season and even then we gifted them the victory. A few new faces in the line up might freshen things up too.
Why would you not want to watch your team?...i've got zero interest in a competition that we are never going to be involved in.
I'm more of a football fan than a Saints fan really. Lost a lot of interest in Saints since we got back to the PL. I guess I have the attitude of a glory fan who ****ed up when choosing which team to follow. I'll still watch games/highlights but am basically not bothered at all about the result. Come on here more out of habit and killing time at work.
I have a bit of a void that I need to fill....you know, the time spent rewatching victories and seeing if there is any exciting news about the club. Don't watch Sky Sports now because it's depressing.....either bad news or no news.
5 Live will be covering the Closed Shop League, so I guess i'll have to suffer Blackmore and Whispering Dave's inanity unless I can pick it up on a Scouse station...
