Patriot - a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors

It therefore depends on what or whom one perceives to be an enemy or detractor.

True Eccers, in this case the enemy is the corrupt pollies in the EU, some pollies in the Government and shadow government, George Soros, the NWO and Illuminati. They are seen as the enemy by way of the negative tactics used to stop Brexit, keep borders open so they can flood all countries with illegal refugees, retain control and dominance over our waters, fishing waters, legal system, and dictatorship of any rules / laws / regulations both present and future; in other words, they want to still control and dominate our Countries by way of dictatorship, and they are using every negative tactic they can think of to prevent our leaving the EU.

We British Patriots have got news for them, and it's all bad......:emoticon-0148-yes:

Correct 2020, but those who can't see the fact that others want to take over our country are normally the ones who can't see beyond their nose, or have been paid off.

I can see where you are coming from.

As a non-combatant in this argument my opinion is that the UK didn't seem to join in the running of the club that they joined the way that the other countries did. The UKs views are not heard and so the others tend to progress the rules of the club based on what they want, and Germany being the biggest, tends to get its way. France Germany and the UK are about the same size and should have been able to develop Europe to suit their own national needs but by sending weak politicians and those who didn't want to be a part of Europe to the European Parliament the UK basically lost its voice. Now it is going to leave but The EU will probably go on and will continue to develop. As the closest and 2nd largest economic zone in the world the UK will want to trade with the EU and will probably have to adopt some of the EU legislation to enable the UK products to be sold their and to use EU labour regulations so that the trade is fair.

So, as I say, to a non-combatant it looks like the UK will likely end up having to use quite a lot of EU legislation with no ability to influence it.

I didn't realise you had to be a participant to have an opinion.

I have zero knowledge of Australian politics, no idea what the economics are like, who Australia trades with or any of that kind of thing, why? Because I don’t care less it isn’t going to ever have an effect on my life.

Not having ever lived in Australia I wouldn’t feel confident giving an opinion on their economics or politics if I wanted to, I guess I simply don’t understand why someone the other side of the world would have such an interest in Brexit and Tommy Robinson but each to their own, we’re all different I guess.

I suppose I'm interested in the UK because I have property and investments there, have lived their, still have friends there and we share the same head of State. We had a holiday for the Queens birthday yesterday. I have an interest in the vote that was held in Macedonia over the weekend and concerned about the impact that the new trade agreement in North America could have on my investments there, the rising influence of the Chinese and the effects of the recent tsunami in Indonesia and the Typhoon in Japan.

Perhaps taking a wider view of the world can help understand how the jigsaw puzzle fits together a bit better than just looking at one piece and thinking hard.

Nothing wrong with taking a interest in what's going on around the world Eric, the whole of the recent Labour Party Conference was about showing support for Palestine(which is in Israel for those that don't know:emoticon-0105-wink:) and everyone are a expert on the politics of the USA since Donald took over from the black bloke.<cheers>
