Not really bothered about us having another huge Bates in/out debate as it gets done to death, but just wanted to see if there really is anyone left on here who has sympathies for him.
theres none so blind as those who wont listen...... if they cant see it now they never will. please log in to view this image
The Bates Youth, must have their voice and be allowed to have their meetings at the fish and chips shop across from ER.
He needs to go-the sooner the better. He puts nothing into the club,so actually anyone with a shrewd business brain, which he doesn't appear to have, could do a better job of running Leeds United. Not necessarily a billionaire either,as the club has enough income to invest a modest £3m a year on transfers. All we're asking for is more transparency as to where our money goes,Delph/Kasper money, compensation payments, the whole shebang really. Too many lies, too much bullshit-enough's enough.
To be honest I'm indifferent to it all. Yes I'm hacked off we pay over the odds for season tickets and seem to get nothing back in return, but all this Bates In/Bates Out is a bit tiresome when all I want to do is meet my mates for a few pints and go to the game. <awaits patiently for some sort of abuse>
I'm fed up with paying the top prices, but then being lied to by the club. There's not enough transparency, Bates' says one thing then does the opposite and ofcourse we haven't strengthened the necessary amount.
If the rumours and "sources" are true about Bates then he needs to go. BUT until proven I'm undecided. As far as Gradel goes, I believe he would have left us to go to France even if he'd signed a new contract. The statements he made were not forced out of him and why would he not tell the truth now he's left the club? We have to accept we are currently a Championship team with a Championship wage structure (I'm fully aware we pay PL ticket prices).
Indifferent. I agree with the strategy we are adopting financially, especially with the FFP rules about to come into force. But it's clear we could be spending more money and he needs to be more transparent and give the fans more respect.
I put Bates In not because I find he is doing an amazing job, but because he bought the club, don't like the way he runs it buy it for yourself. Wake up to modern football, fans mean little, he bought the club so he can do what he thinks is best for it, whether or not your or I agree with it. We have no position to push him out except through our money, and been a season ticket holder, money's already in the bank for this season. But even then do you really think he is going to be pushed out of the club. And also Grayson has the money, it's up to him to spend it not Bates. And tbh I don't think we need anyone else to come in except maybe 1 or 2 more defenders. Ramon Nunez has easily outdone Max Gradel in the beginning of this season, so we don't need to buy a replacement, we already have one sitting on the bench. We just need to play like we did against West Ham ever match and we will be promotion contenders. The best teams are consistent, look at teams last year that weren't promoted like Forest and Cardiff. They weren't consistent, one week they were winning the next they could be losing or drawing, the Promoted teams were consistent like QPR, Norwich and Swasnea, they didn't often lose, occasionally drew and most often won. We just got to be consistently good like we were in the 1st half of the season.
I think you'll find that fans mean everything. Without fans watching on the terraces or on TV there would be no football. It's fans money that pay at the turnstiles which pays for the FL players, and fans that pay Sky subscriptions so Sky can pay the clubs so they can pay the players in the PL. Although it's on a small scale, the fans at Chester rebelled against the owner who they despised (and was a lot worse than Bates btw) and boycotted the club en masse. With no fans the club ran out of money, couldnt pay the players or the coach driver taking them to the matches, went bust and were thrown out of the league. The fans then set up a new club and leased the ground from the council to start playing football again. Now, I wouldn't advocate doing that for Leeds, three years in the ****hole L1 was enough, but fan pressure does affect the owners. Just because someone owns the club doesn't mean they can do what they like with no consequences.
Oh yes it does. Especially with Leeds. I couldn't have invented a better club to own. You lot will never stop paying me. It's like a second council tax for coming from Leeds. You can't escape because you won't. <RUNS OFF TO THE BANK CACKLING MANIACALLY>
As papa reads these posts Laughing is head off and his Muppet's flock into ER to give him more money. he wont go nowhere when he has got the easiest way ever to make money. its know wonder he bought out everyone with shares and is the sole benefactor.....A very shrewd businessman that will do anything to stay in the championship but will not allow leeds to go to the premiership as it costs to much to run. he has leeds sweet as it is getting premiership income and paying championship outgoings......What a businessman.....top of the pile...
and your opinion means something??? What are you doing on the Championship board? Preparing for next season?
at least we all know leeds wont be making the premiership for years while pa pa's there....truth hurts i suppose.....
This guy often pops up with meaningless anti-Leeds comments. Weird that he admits in his post that Bates is taking us nowhere but then votes 'he is doing an acceptable job' in the poll. Just ignore the dick if I were you.
