Bit late but a big shout out for the Golf National course .
I thought it provided a proper test of the players skills and judgement and was also a great viewing "theatre" both for TV but also ,by the looks of it , for the real spectators

 

It was specifically designed for spectators mate. The designer had multi-layered mounds built along the fairways and around the greens and had the course designed so that in some positions you can see 2, 3 or 4 greens.

My son's mate is a pro-golfer and was at the Ryder Cup and he said the whole place is superb!

 

So that woman who was hit by a ball has lost the sight in her right eye. No blame attached to the golfer but he will no doubt struggle to process it.

 

Depends if he shouted a warning, most don't now, especially the Yanks.
