I'd go with Giggs/Butt/Carrick and just try to rebuild the playing side of the team. Let them ignore as much of the commercial bollocks as is possible.

They'll root out twats like Pogba while they're at it.

If they won't take that chance and it has to be a 'name', then Zidane could be that name.

Nail on the head. What set Fergie apart imo. He evolved his tactics when his 4 4 2 went outdated to then win more trophies.

Likewise he managed his players and only got in players who were leaders but he could control in his own way

A few of us said give him a go right from the start, but he didn't have experience, right? Needed a steady hand, yes? Only a big name can do it.

Well all that has been proven to be utter cliched bollocks and I can't help thinking if we'd given Giggs et al a go we'd be in a far better state than we are right now, after all those experienced blokes have made a ****ing pigs ear of it.

Mourinho at Utd? It's a match made in heaven for us neutrals mate, bloody hell. I enjoyed the Moyes and LVG debacles immensely, but this present appointment is the gift that keeps on giving. Long may it continue...

Suarez literally carried that team, gave Rodgers a reputation that is totally wrong.

I think if Liverpool won the title that year that would have been one of the biggest individual achievements in sporting history.

He was superb and for that season the best player in the world.
