Thinking we SHOULD have won that is a bit arrogant, both teams had chances and they could say the same thing. If Studge hadn't done that we'd have lost. Don't see the problem with Hendo either it's just picking the right game for him, when he's on the ball and playing it quickly he can be very good but in a congested game like yesterday he can't see the forward pass. Keita coming on gave us more drive but Hendo is an important player, without him we'd have less options. Miner could do with a rest so that we get the best from him throughout the season. Happy with a point from the bridge though bring on City.
Having watched City play Lyon, you can see why Klopp wanted Fekir. The starting 3 is what it is i.e. workhorse like. Such games require a player who can dribble and carry the ball past midfield. I was happy to see Keita take on this rope in his cameo. I know people are questioning Salah's form but it is Keita who I believe needs a goal to spur him on
We earned a point. That's it.. we worked hard and at times Chelsea gave it away deep and we were threatening. Their goal should be looked at again for the class if the passing. Their midfield is so much better than outs at it. We work hard..but There's no deserve in football. Teams in the **** talk about what their performance deserve.... like Hughes yesterday. It's a reflection from the fact that usually someone **** s up and costs points but otherwise the performance didn't stink. We earned a point. Through big al saving us, vvd defence and sturridge actually getting a shot on target. I also think we really ought to see that Chelsea are one hell of a good team and give ourselves credit for matching them Next week it's city... an even better team. We can't afford shots miles off target or weak back pases
Even though he is an opposition manager, I'm already taking a liking to Sarri. A big hug for Klopp before and after the game with a smile on his face........and admitting the scoreline was a fair result when he must have been gutted to be denied the three points. Seems like a cool guy.
I agree, apart from the routine downer on Henderson. Honest question: Why do you think Klopp puts him in there? Please don't give me the "can't drop the captain" stuff because I'm certain Klopp has no such qualms.
We have played Chelsea and Tottenham now. City next at Anfield Our next five games in the league: Sunday 7th October Liverpool16:30Manchester City Saturday 20th October Huddersfield Town17:30Liverpool Saturday 27th October Liverpool15:00Cardiff City Saturday 3rd November Arsenal17:30Liverpool Sunday 11th November Premier League Liverpool12:00Fulham
Fulham at home is the fifth one, so after City a run of supposedly "easier" games - though Arsenal are getting stronger again after a poor start.
#oldschool football guy. we.have too many egos and turds.. ego = mourinho. tired =allardyce, Warnock etc if half the clubs in the prem had a klopp, sarri, guardiola what a league it would be. hopefully emry will push on arsenal too. knock pochettino and his boring style out as well.
Yeah seems like a nice bloke. Don’t know f it’s just cos we’re used to hearing and seeing conte be a miserable ****e
Good question - I’m guessing it’s down to work rate. Because it can’t be due to defensive stability or ability on the ball And maybe because Fabinho isn’t quite ready yet? Maybe it’s easier to move players like Gini to accommodate him? We saw the same with Can when he’s clearly better at number 6 but is more versatile to move. I don’t know mate. We’re evolving as a team and he will be left behind. The same happened to the likes of Migs, Ings, Lallana, Moreno etc. This is not to say Hendo is a **** player because he’s not. He’s just a decent squad player. Nothing more, nothing less.
