None of this is actually true but if you feel this way, then play Romeu instead of Lemina. JWP is a lousy fit for that position.

Then again, our “tactic” whatever it is, appears to be crap and the players don’t seem to grasp it at all. But that’s a different issue that may require sacking Hughes and several transfers.

In the meantime, neither Yoshida or JWP are likely to change our direction, even if JWP were better than Lemina in our confused 4-4-2, which he is not.

I’m not trying to knock JWP. It’s not JWP’s fault that we suck and have no idea what we are doing. Put him in at right wing although Redmond has not been bad, or use him behind Ings. We’ll still suck but at least JWP will be in the right position.

 

JWP has played a deeper CM role effectively when he was captain for the England U21s.

Don't think we're favourites for relegation, but as with last year we might need a little help from the dregs. We're going to be bad, and have to hope that others are worse.

I’m trying not to be all MELTDOWN and gloom and doom, but it is really hard to take anything positive away from that match. Wolves were bad, and looked very slow/lackadaisical. We looked even more slow and lackadaisical. Even if we had drawn an ugly 0-0 match it would have been a little disappointing. But since we stunk it up the last 25 minutes as usual... there’s just no way to candycoat how awful and how lost we were.

Here are some good things from the game. McCarthy made an top notch save. Hojbjerg never gave up and seemed to be constantly looking for a way to get something going. Ings did not get hurt. Elyounoussi was quietly competent in only his second or third start and so perhaps he may start looking good as he settles in. Vestergaard looks like he at least doesn’t suck.

And then next season supposing we hang? Same again until we are finally relegated? With the present board and their complete lack any ambition it's a case of when and not if.

How I see it too. I'm practicing indifference and expecting us to scrape along until the end of the season....and if we are really lucky we will be safe with a match or two to go. If we are unlucky, the bottom teams will beat top sides whereas we won't....just to put the wind up us. I really had high hopes we'd be middling this season....instead I suspect we will be bottoming. 16th or 17th would slap a smile back on my face.

 

I mean, i definitely blame Hughes/Hoedt/Ralph/Les, but who'd listen?
